Bundy stinks, though. He is literally only useful against garbage teams. His 88 mph fastball isn't working long term.

Taking him out of the rotation is part of my reasoning. I'd much rather have Winder in the rotation than as a piggyback. Gray, Ryan, Winder, Archer/Bundy, Smeltzer would be my setup for now. Injuries tend to figure things out so Ober coming back is probably solved by one of those 6 not being available anyways.

Bundy shouldn't be on this staff, period.

It's not just today.  This offense has disappeared for long stretches of games, let alone innings, all year long.

Look. It's not on the offense and it's not Rocco.  This is a 3-0 shutout. Bieber stifles the Twins a lot. These 4 inning starts are the problem. It's like a bridge too far

Well my opinion is that they need Ober back, or call up Woods Richardson or Varland and put Archer IN the bullpen. I know he's been really good as a starter, but he'd likely be very good as a reliever, and doing so would also help with the problem the team has with him only going 4 innings.

Yeah, I'd be good with that, too. Don't know how he'd feel about it, though. I'd love him as a 2 innings guy multiple times a week.

Sorry, he doesn't get the choice at this point. EVERY game this guy starts, it taxes the bullpen...which then affects the next game, and the next game.

It's not just Bieber that stifles the Twins.  It's not just the bullpen.  The offense deserves plenty of blame as well.  They score a lot, or nothing.

This is an absolute gold star post. I know they are trying to protect Archer but 4 inning starts for a team with a weak bullpen is a MASSIVE problem and a poor game plan.

There have been so many base runners left in scoring position this whole series, minus today.  So frustrating.

But if putting him in the pen makes him worse it doesn't fix anything. I don't blame him at all for not being able to go deep in games after all the time he's missed with injuries the last few years. The FO/Wes/Rocco/Whoever not having a plan for the starts they knew would be short from the beginning is the problem. He's pitched very well in his current role and I wouldn't mess with that if I have another choice.
