But at this point today you’ve already committed to him for two innings. Senseless to yank him. He could have thrown 10 more pitches maybe (hopefully)?

Also if this prevents Duran from being available tomorrow it's an even worse move.

Oh, I STRONGLY disagreed with the decision, I'm just saying the front office has put Baldelli in a really crappy situation.

Yeah that's where I'm at also.

Is he honestly not supposed to consider using 50% of his roster if the game is close? These are guys with MLB contracts, they're supposed to be able to get hitters out - even if it's a 1-run game. That's literally their job.

Yeah, exactly. News flash: most baseball games are close when the bullpen enters the game.

Yeah he created his own problem, shouldn’t get awarded for that

That wreaked havoc on Clevelands psychic, simple as that.

Catchers across baseball are hitting .221.

Gah, baseball is so bad right now.

It's been a rough go for hitters for sure, but I think the 2022 version of baseball makes for a much better game to watch. There's been balls in play, defense, rallies of strung-together hits.

The last few years, games have been 4+ hours of strikeout-strikeout-walk-home run-strikeout. Baseball feels like baseball again this year.

Gah, baseball is so resurrected right now.

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinions.

It seems like having 2-3 decent relievers out of 8 bullpen pitchers makes not a good bullpen.

I think it's on the path to being better but the horribly low batting averages and long games are still a huge problem, both of which will hopefully be fixed by the new 2023 rules.

Electronic strike zones would raise batting averages

Only if they're adjusted. I think MLB should be running electronic zones in AAA already but it should receive at least a couple of seasons in the high minors to both refine it and give more players first-hand experience with it so the change isn't as jarring.

I think they would raise averages by so much they would have to enlarge home plate

If the Twins do not take the series at Colorado, this game will be worth a lot less because after that come five straight with Cleveland and then a MUCH improved Baltimore.
