This is a common line but let us all know who exactly is a high prospect. FWIW, Royce Lewis would no longer be considered a prospect because the league knows his experience at the major league level. If you are talking about players on the 26 person roster or Lewis, maybe there is a point. The Twins are not going to give up a bunch of prospects for a nobody. We don't need to worry about Falvey trading our five favorite prospects for some loser relief pitcher.

Well you’re not going to pick up 3 (minimum) quality arms for nothing either

This loss stings. 10 runs wasn’t enough for a win. 2 blown leads by the pen. Seemingly no internal options to help keep the bullpen afloat until trades become a reality.

Agreed.  And it's likely to get a lot worse before it gets noticeably better.

They always seem to go on a losing streak after a bad beat.  This is two of those in a row..  I can’t watch tomorrow.  Box scores only indefinitely.  Painful to watch stupidity.  Change ups floating in high like they’re on a tee. Did we forget Larnach throw to the wrong base letting the go ahead run into scoring position.  Oh well we probably would have lost another one in extras under the dumb extra innings rule and got someone injured in the bargain.  Probably Buxton who finally comes in defensively too late after missing a chance to make that game saving catch.  But I’m not bitter.

I honestly feel bad for pagan. Could have been a great turnaround night but his manager was asleep at the wheel and it turned into another very negative outing

The dude melted down and couldn't get a 4th out before blowing a 3 run lead. Are we really clamoring for Griffin Jax or Tyler Duffey?

The fielding melted not the pitcher.

Clamoring, no, but that 9th was predictable and I simply cannot believe someone else wasn’t ready to come into the game before it got that far

It's not like I'm shocked Pagan imploded. I've been critical of him for quite a while now, but the fact he was the best option to start that inning kinda says it all about this pen. If Rocco tugs him after the Ramirez hit maybe things go differently, maybe, but I'm not all that confident they would've.

Correct. The last 2 fresh arms available were the mop up guys Duffey and Thornburg. Maybe Jax would have done better with a clean start to an inning, but I doubt it. It didn’t look like he had much to offer tonight.

I don’t know where the assistance is going to come from internally. Alcala is still a couple weeks out if he doesn’t have another set back. Maeda feels like a major wish to be back pitching soon. Strotman has been a bust. Henriquez and Enlow are just 40 man filler not ready for prime time.

I don't think there really is any. I'm not counting on anything from Maeda this year, and I hope the FO isn't either. Who knows what version of Alcala is going to show up. The whole "2022 isn't a competitive year," narrative is starting to become a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts with the issues regarding the pitching staff. It's a bummer.

I'm with you on Cleveland too, they're not this good, and I don't expect them to "beat up," on the Twins next week. I guess in fairness other AL Central fanbases probably look at MN and think the same thing.
