Happy Father's Day to all who celebrate!

The Twins have gotten through the gauntlet that was Toronto, New York and Tampa. Won a Seattle series and now have a rubber match vs the Diamondbacks this afternoon.

This year marks one of my person firsts of my now five Father's Day.  My wife and I were able to take our nearly five your old son to his first Twins game.  He did enjoy the Twins beating the Royals the Sunday prior to Memorial Day.  Although I think he enjoyed the Mall of America (Lego Store and Nickelodeon Universe) more. Hopefully his love (or tolerance) for baseball will continue to grow.  He also started t-ball three weeks ago.

Here are some random facts about Father’s Day:

1.)  Became a national holiday in 1972 when then President Nixon signed legislation designating the 3rd Sunday in June to be known as Father’s Day. Although the first Father’s day was celebrated on June 19th 1910, it was recognized by President Lyndon Johnson in 1966.

2.)  Washington was the first state to celebrate the day.

The way Arraez hits, it is as though there are fewer fielders out there than for any other batters. Eight fielders cannot cover all of fair territory, but with some hitters you would think they could. Not our Luis! There ARE gaps, and he will find them!

Yep, trying to stay up on both. Got my 18 holes in early this AM.

I was too busy to get out this weekend, but I got a bonus round in during the week, so it evens out I guess.

Dick talking about the roster limitation of 13 pitchers. What's to prevent a team from listing a pitcher as an outfielder? Kind of evens things out with the Angels being allowed to count Ohtani as a DH.

They also have Lorenzon who can pitch and plays OF on occasion. So they could carry 15.

Not that I heard the convo since Ballys is glitching again and I currently have no picture or sound on my tv.

Yep. Willie Keeler, Rod Carew, Tony Gwynn. (And there have been others.) He's the latest in the series.

Tony O was other world before the knees and for a few years after.
