Which Twins relievers do you trust?

My answer would be Duran, Jax, and Joe Smith.

Me too, those 3 I pretty much trust implicitly, but looking at the rest of the pen I gotta ask:

Trust with what?

like Pagan for instance, he’s “fine”, I trust him ok for a hold, wouldn’t trust him in a “late and close” situation

Tier 1: Duran

Tier 2: Jax, Smith, Thielbar

Tier 3: Pagan

Tier 4: Cotton, Coulombe, Megill, Moran

Tier 5: Duffey.

Sounds about right.  I would add that those tier 4 guys could and hopefully will jump up a tier or two.   Let's hope Alcala gets healthy soon.  It will look a lot better if Alcala gets back soon and one or two of those tier 4 guys steps up.

Right. I have hope for Megill. His stuff seems good, but I trust Thielbar and Jax to not walk guys and get themselves into trouble more at this point.

Other than Duran, I pretty much sit on the edge of seat the entire time that a reliever is pitching.  I don't really have much trust in any of them generally speaking.  Jax is growing on me, Thielbar is okay.

For me, it's almost better to ask me which relievers I distrust the least.

No question...I think all of us would put Duran out there above any of the others. Jax has been pretty good, T-Bar has been decent. I think other than that, it's a total crap-shoot. I wouldn't trust any of the rest...especially Pagan and Duffey.

Megill is definitely in my trust zone. He's saved the rest of the arms a few times and could be used more as a liong man than he has.

Duran, Jax, Thoelbar, and Smith I'm confident in, even in that order. Then Megill and that's probably it right now.

The well researched Kintzer-Wisler Principal indicates that one or more of Megill, Cotton and Moran will likely end up with a stat line that will require us to consider them a trustworthy reliever.

"There must be a pony in this pile!"

The opportunity cost of digging for that pony is an underappreciated aspect of the strategy.
