Twins vs Yankees

Recommended Posts

Prediction...  Yanks will take at least two of the next three games with the Twins.  It's obvious these two teams are light years apart in terms of their abilities and talent.  This three game series will amplify that fact.  But at least the Twins are in a better spot than last year (or so it would appear).

They stayed in Game 1 until Rocco decided to throw Duffey in before the game was blown open, I think winning 1 is possible, but that opportunity may have been last night which Rocco blew.

Hey Killebrewlover, that's where my Number3 comes from. Anyway, all I ever hoped for was not getting swept in any of the out of division games this month. So they have a game to play with after winning 2 in Toronto. Losing 4 of 5 in Detroit definitely diminished breathing room. I am much more concerned with the 8 games in 10 days they have against the Cleveland team as the month comes to an end. Please just at least split the next two against the Yankees as getting swept ruins any mojo they may have left. Rocco, throw your analytics spread sheets in the trash and play your A team all 18 innings the next 2 games.

No doubt I was expecting them to lose last night, but they hung in there and were close for a while. The way Taillon was pitching before last night, I figured he would blow us away. We had him on the ropes and just couldn't get a key hit. When it got to be 5-4, I thought we maybe had a shot, but of course Duffey and Megill got rocked. I think if there was a game in this series that we had a chance to win, last night was it. I can't see us beating Cortes and Cole, especially with Archer and Bundy going for us. We're gonna get swept.

The bats actually did ok through the 5-6th inning,  the wheels fell off later as we got further into the bullpen.  The bullpen needs to get some arms back or help from the minors or injury list.  Other than Alcala not much coming on the horizon.

When it comes to this series against the Yankees... the way I see it.

We could win two out of three against them.

It is also possible that we win one out of three

And a Yankee sweep is also a possibility.

It's most likely dependent upon which team crosses home plate more often than the other team in each game.

I do not believe that the outcome for the next two games has been pre-determined at this time.

Just breathe everyone... Just breathe.
