Please, let’s get away from this label. I know people who don’t get every vaccine. They do their research, consult with their doctors, and choose. Doesn’t make them anti-vaxx.

And please, let’s get back to baseball and roster discussions

Sorry, I re-worded my previous post.

Note - You cannot get into the United States unless vaccinated and test negative. If you were in the United States before Covid and just stayed, it isn't a problem. Isn't this correct? I had to show a negative test and show my vax card when returning from Mexico in February.

Do we KNOW Max isn't vaccinated ??  I mean, if he's visited his parents in Germany in the last couple years and returned to the U.S. he WOULD be vaxxed, right ?  I don't like to make assumptions about ANY of this.  Guys get hurt tying their shoes in the locker room nowadays so the roster seems to be in a constant state of flux.  It's a personal choice and I leave it at that.  We've seen how wrong, and possibly intentionally wrong our government has been about this since the outset.  It never had ANY basis in science.

That said, whoever raised the point "Is Max (or anyone else on the team) really willing to miss a chunk of a possible playoff series against Toronto made a great point.  We're a LONG way from that reality, but it's possible and has to be a consideration.

I'm not sure Theilbar and Megill would be that big of a loss. Moran and Coulumbe should be able to handle the lefties and Megill should be replaceable. And many on here would rather not have Pagan.

1) If Max were vaxxed but injured, he'd have to go to the IL in order to make a roster spot available which did not occur.

2) I appreciate you trying to fair about about your arguments against the vaccine, but "We've seen how wrong, and possibly intentionally wrong our government has been about this since the outset.  It never had ANY basis in science." We've heard from every major epidemiologist in the planet, drug company, University, countless doctors, statisticians. The vaccine is highly effective. So is science. Neither are 100 pct. Neither need to be. Didn't mean they should be dismissed.

Yes, he has stated publicly he is not. And I don’t know what other country’s policies are in regards to travel. Those policies have changed over the last two years for everyone.

I’m addressing this part separately. This is just incorrect. You can believe it if you want, but I urge you to do further research because this is just wrong. And it is not debatable so do not repeat this kind of misinformation on this site, thanks,

Lets just stick to baseball.

It is/was NOT just our government. COVID is worldwide. See Canada for an example of how one country is still reacting.

Even when vaccines were first introduced, the hope was that we would get 85% or so of the country vaccinated. Knew there would always be holdouts. And it can be doctored ordered, or just personal choice. Some choice give you limitations, others more freedom.

You needed to be vaccinated to participate in the Olympics, as well as travel back then.

Like flu shots, vaccinations aren't a cure. Doesn't keep you from getting whatever. Might lessen the symptons to a state that you don't know you are sick (like cough syrups kep you from coughing in public until you open your mouth and talk with a raspy voice).

Be glad we can enjoy arena events again!

Now everyone go shower in the locker room and, no snapping towels, okay!?

I'm gonna say it again ... I know that Covid has affected this team from a couple of different angles, so it's only natural for it to be the heart of many of these discussions, but let's get back to baseball talk now. I think just about everyone has had their input, and I'm tired of misinformation and squabbling between the 'two sides.' Let's just stick to what unites us, baseball, and leave the Covid/vaccination talk to another site. Thanks.

Seems like the team has leveled up their on field performance in response. Maybe there is a silver lining to this cloud. We’ll see.

There is something to the saying ... 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going'. I don't expect them to do that every game this trip ... but it was nice to see it last night.
