Has Rocco said why he didn't start Gordon in CF instead of Lewis, a player with very little experience in that position?

Does he need to? The Twins are trying to find a way to get Lewis every day playing time based on how he's performed this year. Nick Gordon had virtually no CF time before the Twins stuck him out there as well. It's not Rocco's fault Lewis decided to bounce himself off the wall.

News could have been worse, of course.  But he was really in a groove at the plate and his enthusiasm seemed to be quite additive as well. Here’s hoping he’s back sooner rather than later - even if it is in St. Paul: every at bat counts for this young man.

Of course, if he were a hockey player…….

How do you get a bone bruise running into the padding? Maybe the stuff needs a little more cush?

Agreed. How does that happen? Talk about bad luck. The guy comes back up, and immediately gets hurt. It was a sensational catch, and I was more worried about how he hit his head on the wall, not his knee. The way his glasses and hat came off, it looked like maybe a concussion. Hopefully, they don't find anything else when the swelling in his knee goes down.

Did you know the Twins have not won the WS since they removed the trees from center field?

It's true. You could look it up.

Nor since they took the plexiglass down at the Metrodome.

They should really stop messing with the outfield fence areas.

Very strange, when you watch the video, it doesn't appear his knee his the wall anyway. Must've been the jarring impact.

When he came back to the ground after hitting the wall, he twisted his knee sideways.
