Game Thread 5/27/22 Twins vs. Royals 7:10 CDT

I appreciate that they've given Cano several chances, and he was dominating at AAA... but man, he's just getting shelled and it's not even by the good teams. Our bullpen (non-starter to reliever) prospects just don't ever seem to be that good.

Yennier Cano needs to work with Sergio Romo to get himself a nicer whip action. Cocking his wrist halfway through the motion looks like it's prone to cause misfires. Get a smoother loop, like Romo or Walter Johnson. Those guys could hit a gnat in the butt with almost no effort.

Just a question.  If you recall Kiriloff where's he going to play? Arreaz is hitting like crazy, Larnach is holding his own and your not going to recall him to have him sit

There are more than enough AB's to get him at DH/1B/LF. Jeffers shouldn't be in the lineup against a RHP unless he's catching which is less than half the time lately which opens up the DH spot. Arraez can play some 2nd or 3rd 1 time a week allowing a start there against a RHP, and you can get AK into a corner OF spot once a week too. I'm not that worried about only getting AK into 4 starts a week in Minnesota rather than 6 at STP.

Twins gunna need to shuffle some arms tonight. But who'd be available?

Jovani Moran is one on the 40 man. Strotman too, but zero shot he's called up. Sands could fill a LR role. They also have some fat they can trim off the 40 man with Contreras and Godoy. Cotton, Ian Hamilton, and Minaya are all throwing pretty well at St. Paul but would require a 40 man move.

Twins win!

Absolutely needed that after the stinkers the last two games, and to do it in essentially a bullpen game after Ober goes 3 innings. Coulombe was terrible Megill was very good. Smith was meh. Thielbar did his job. Duran was electric despite the ump having his eye's closed, and we didn't have to watch Pagan in a tight game. The bats were fantastic, the defense was pretty good, and we are all happy again going into the weekend (subject to change within the next 18 hours).

Until tomorrow,

ENJOY YOUR CHICKEN!
