I'll go first!

1) Where do you follow the Twins from?  The Twin Cities metropolitan area.

2) What's your jobby job?  I'm a professional predictor of construction project bids.

3) How 'bout hobbies?  Golf, being outdoors, cocktails, guitar, golf, Scotch, hiking in the woods, "hiking" on a golf course, Game Threads.

5) How many games do you attend a season?  15-20

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Kirby

7) Who is your current favorite Twin? Buxton (CFers are my fetish.  Torii is in my top 3)

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?  I've seen a handful of 1-hitters, mostly by Scott Baker against the Royals, 3 cycles including this one, and Prince Fielder's inside-the-park HR at the Dome.  Thanks Lew...

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?  Mauer's final game.

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment?  Kirby up high on the Plexiglass.

4) How long have you followed the Twins? well, off and on since early on, but pretty steadily the past 25 yrs

5) How many games do you attend a season? hmmm ... I don't live in market, so, at least once or twice when they are in Chicago

The minute Garcia missed that, I'm at my seat jumping up and down, screaming 'In the park home run! In the park home run!' before he even hit second, because he was just flying and you knew. Was fun. And the White Sox mascot gave me a 'look' ... lol ...

1. Where do I follow from? Wherever, but mostly from my home in northern Indiana.

2. Jobby job? I help individuals change the world by helping them give, in as tax-efficient manner possible, to the non-profit organizations they care about. I help said non-profits tell about their story about the life-changing work they are doing, as they invite said individuals to join the mission with their generosity. I help churches talk about money in healthy ways, including when said church is not asking for money.

3. Hobbies? Baseball, obviously. Traveling with my wife. Riding with her on our recumbent tandem trike. Smoking meat. Personal finance. Oh, and eating chicken!

4. How long? Since my older sister brought home her Twin-loving boyfriend, who would later become my bro-in-law. I was eight or so. (My sister was considerably older!)

5. How many games? Varies. At least 1-2 each year, ranging up to 6-8.

6. Favorite all-timer? Tony O. Tentatively planning a trip to Cooperstown in a few months.

7. Favorite current? Didn’t think I had one, but when I stopped and thought about the excitement Buxton can bring to a moment at any time, it’s probably him.

8. Oddest moment at a game? June 26, 1977. Game has to be stopped because a drunk fan was climbing the left-field foul pole. Said drunk fan grows up to be the Twins official scorer, Stew Thornley.

9. Most memorable thing in person? Same game. Carew goes 4-for-5, drives in six, and ends the day at .403 as the Twins beat the Team That Shall Not Be Named, 19-12. Carew gets half a dozen standing ovations, including from an 11-year-old kid in the right field bleachers, who is there with his sister and now-brother-in-law. Family goes home with two t-shirts from Rod Carew Jersey Day. Said bro-in-law wants one, so he bought an extra two tickets, went in once with under-12 kid to get a shirt, exits, and then enters again with said under-12 kid, this time at the correct gate, in order to get a second shirt.

10. All-time favorite moment? Pinch-hitter Gene Larkin hits a single to left-center.

Tony O is awesome.  So personable!

Bert's number retirement day was pretty cool.

1) Where do you follow the Twins from? St Louis Park - Austin, TX the previous 8 years

2) What's your jobby job? Software sales - stuck on Zoom meetings these days ?

3) How 'bout hobbies? Golf, gardening, watching the local sports teams, breweries, grilling, video games, the latest and greatest fads from my 2 year old niece (currently Go Dogs Go and Frozen)

4) How long have you followed the Twins? First got into baseball in 1998 thanks to the McGwire/Sosa HR race. Attended some games early on but the 2001 team caught my attention.

5) How many games do you attend a season? None but looking forward to going back to Target Field for a game this summer. I’d go to 2-3 AAA games in Austin every year.

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Gonna cheat and say 2 players. Johan Santana is the most dominant pitcher I’ve seen in a Twins uniform. Joe Mauer for his longevity with the team.

7) Who is your current favorite Twin? Byron Buxton, but Carlos Correa is a close 2nd… Nothing would make me happier to see them both locked up long term.

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Not sure… It’s been too long since I’ve been in-state to see them in person. Last time I was, we were in the dark ages of Vance ‘Vanimal’ Worley and Sam Deduno leading the rotation.

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Francisco Liriano’s wipeout 91 MPH slider when he was first called up.

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment? The incredible 2nd half comeback in 2006 to win the division.

This is a fun idea.

1) Where do you follow the Twins from? Twin Cities suburbs

2) What's your jobby job? Sales analyst for a distribution/ecommerce company, then I do some part time work on the side for a couple baseball analytics/stats companies

3) How 'bout hobbies? Researching things so I can be the best annoying know-it-all possible, going to the theater, debating sports, watching sports, pretending I can still play sports

4) How long have you followed the Twins? my whole life (37 years)

5) How many games do you attend a season? 20-30 usually

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Johan Santana

7) Who is your current favorite Twin? I'd like to say Arraez, but it's probably Buxton

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Byung-Ho Park hitting a bomb into the restaurant in CF.Game 163 walk-off

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Game 163 walk-off

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment? '91 WS. Was barely old enough to remember it and will likely always be my favorite "moment."

1) Where do you follow the Twins from?  St. Paul

2) What's your jobby job?  Worked almost two decades for a local state historical society; now I drive a transit bus.

3) How 'bout hobbies?  1860 Rules base ball (aka vintage ball), reading, history, geology, learning new handy stuff (like how to cut a dovetail by hand, or install my own water heater).

4) How long have you followed the Twins?  Since my youth in the middle ’60s when my brother and I argued over who was the best Twin; he was a Carew guy, and I was (see below).

5) How many games do you attend a season?  Eek! Haven’t been since the pandemic. Probably get to a couple this year (though it will have to be a weekend game). I’m one of the longtime fans who has serious issues with the modern game’s snail pace. (Though I do listen to several games a week on the radio and riff-text them with a high school friend living in TN.)

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Number 6, Tony Oliva.

7) Who is your current favorite Twin? Probably Polanco, because he just shows up for work, and is quietly so dang good. Getting a soft-spot for Gio Urshela, though; my dad played 3B well, so I get misty any time I see the hot corner played so well.

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?  Snowflakes during a really cold afternoon/evening at Target Field watching Mike Pelfrey pitch badly. I think the Twins #9 hitter didn’t get their first at-bat until 90 minutes after first pitch. Runner up would be getting gassed with cigar smoke in July at the new and un-air-conditioned Metrodome, and the Twins giving up something like 13 runs to Detroit in the top of the first. (Fortunately they eventually banned smoking, and bought an air-conditioner; it was like watch a game in someone’s sun-broiled tent.)

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?  Game 1 of the ’87 World Series. I’d tell kids today, they can’t imagine how novel it was for a local team to succeed in a championship atmosphere, but it’s been as long since ’91 as the gap between the Lakers of the ’50s and the ’87 Twins, so I guess they know.

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment?  Watching Game 7 of the ’91 Series with my Dad (which featured a guy my brother caught in high school as the winning pitcher).

3) How 'bout hobbies?  Raising 3 kids, traveling, tennis, MN sports, genealogy

4) How long have you followed the Twins?  Based on my baseball card collection, I seemed to start being interested in 1982 or 83.  But I vividly remember following closely when Kirby was called up in 1984 and the late season collapse (and Jamie Quirk/Ron Davis debacle).

5) How many games do you attend a season?  Varies, but usually about 5 a year.

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin?  Puckett

7) Who is your current favorite Twin?  Buxton

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?  Had a Joe Mauer HR hit me squarely in the hands in 2009.  I have a saved screenshot from the TV broadcast showing the disappointment of my missed catch.

3) How 'bout hobbies? Besides Twins Geek? (Listened to Wind Surge Podcast this morning...) Home improvement (DIY), Cabin, Grandkids, Fishing

4) How long have you followed the Twins? Since Kirby started chasing the home run title in '86. He hooked me for good. Only casually before that.

5) How many games do you attend a season? 1-6 depending on time and finances.

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Kiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrby

7) Who is your current favorite Twin? Buxton from the day he was drafted

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Coolest: on a snow day, I scalped 3rd row seats behind the visitors dugout for the first game of a double header. Oswaldo Arcia hit his first home run.

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? First game I ever went to June 6, 1987. I sat in the nose bleeds with 5 kids and their parents. I was a male Nanny. Viola pitched 7 innings in a no decision. Frazier pitched the next 3 because in the bottom of the 9th, Salas hit a game tying pinch hit home run sending us into extra innings. I took a picture of the bases loaded in the bottom of the 12th with Puckett on 3rd, Hrbek on 2nd and Gaetti on first and Unfortunately Davidson at bat with 2 outs. He had pinch run earlier in the game for Larkin (who was 3 for 5 on the night). Davidson struck out. With a baby along, we needed to call it a night. Reardon got us through the 13th (his 2nd inning of work), so as we pulled out of the parking lot, Lombo walked us off in the 13th with a base hit and Bruno scored the winning run.

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment? What the hell, it's only the World Series

1) Where do you follow the Twins from?

Columbia Heights MN

2) What's your jobby job?

I work from home as a dispatcher for a security company, which makes it very easy for me to check on the Twins on slow days.

3) How 'bout hobbies?

I write a few comic strips online, which do not make any sense at all to anyone who isn't between the ages of 25-40

Also enjoy kayaking, though I'm a novice. I just have the cheapest kayak available from Fleet Farm after Black Friday a few years ago. But that's still the best thing to do in summer aside from baseball.

I've recently taken up homebrewing, I have a Belgian wheat beer in the fermenter right now.

4) How long have you followed the Twins?

Only since 2019, which was the first time I ever took interest in any sport at all.

5) How many games do you attend a season?

3-5 Twins games, 5-10 Saints games.

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin?

Sorry serious people, it's probably Astudillo.

7) Who is your current favorite Twin?

After watching Miranda rake last summer at CHS, he's probably the player I'm most attached to, but he's having a pretty rough time and I don't know if I count him as a "Twin" yet. So probably Arraez.

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?

Jose Miranda's birthday Saints debut, if you want to count Saints games.

OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME

I'm 36 and consider myself young for a baseball fan

I have a baby, and a teenage foster child.

I have been to 185 breweries in Minnesota

2) What's your jobby job? Retired now.  Was in the software development world.

3) How 'bout hobbies?  Helping at school, fundraising for a rail trail, hiking in the mountains, travel when pandemics don't get in the way.

4) How long have you followed the Twins? Since moving to the Twin Cities in 1978.

5) How many games do you attend a season? If you mean Twins games, only a couple ever at Target Field, since we moved away in 1996 and don't get back too often.  In general, a few games a year, major or minor league, wherever travel takes me - we'll be at the Twins game in Detroit soon.

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? Kent Hrbek.

7) Who is your current favorite Twin?  Byron Buxton.

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game?  The deafening sound in the Metrodome when it really got rocking and rolling.  Okay, not literally a thing I've seen - but I didn't hear it either.

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Sunday September 27, 1987.  Al Newman throws home to get Willie Wilson in the top of the first inning.  Big game in a big season, big time play.  Puckett homered in the bottom of the first.  Royals season: over.

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment?  Jack Morris coming out again in the top of the tenth.  Chills.

I typically cut dovetails (interlocking wood joints like drawer sides for all you non-woodworkers) with a router and jig. How do you cut them by hand? Why would you cut them by hand instead of using a router and jig?

You know, for "most memorable thing I've seen in person," with great regret I have to add that I was there when Kirby got hit in the eye.  Best seats I ever had for a major league game, to boot, courtesy of some kind of corporate freebie, right down near the field on the third base side.  I still remember the little grin Knoblauch shot his bench when he took a soft HBP leading off that inning, and I will go to my grave believing there was a connection, though I absolutely do not believe Martinez intended injury.*  Searing memory.

* KIrby's career-ending eye ailment is said to be unrelated to the beaning, and I have no medical expertise to dispute that. But that was the last major league game of Kirby's career.

6) Who is your favorite all-time Twin? So many to choose from, but I guess I'd go with Hrbek

7) Who is your current favorite Twin? Buxton

8 )What is the coolest/craziest/most absurd/etc thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Was at a game at the old Met back in the 70's. Guy was carrying two beers down the steps on the first base side where I was sitting. Foul pop came down and hit him square in the hands, beer flying everywhere, he never saw it coming because he was concentrating on the beers. Everyone was looking around for the ball, when the guy pulled it out of a cup.

9) What is the most memorable thing you've seen in person at a Twins game? Was lucky enough to have tickets to game 6, 1987 Series. Sat three rows behind the plexiglass. Think it was the fifth inning, Twins were trailing, and it was like the crowd just wasn't going to let the team lose. It felt as if the crowd willed the team to win. I think it was Baylor came up and hit one over our heads, which broke the game open and took it to Game 7.  Pandemonium. Deafening. Literally. My ears were still ringing a day later.

10) What is your favorite all-time Twins moment? Jack Morris pitching the complete Game 7, 1991. Closely followed by Larkin's single to win it....

What I watch most often, especially if I am in need of a pick me up is Kirby's catch and home run in game 6.

The most emotional moment is Joe Mauer's final game
