Feel like the Twins sort of punted on this game. I think the plan was to have Bundy throw 3 or 4 innings, and Winder the rest no matter what was happening in the game.

they punt on more than a few games. It’s all part of that “it’s a long season” motto

Really poor outing from Winder. Clearly didn't have his best stuff, and was fighting it all night long. However, he never should've been in the game in the 7th inning. This one is on the manager in my book. Interested to see if the plan is to use him as a long reliever for the time being, or if his next appearance is in the rotation.

How many hits does Winder have to give up to the freakin A's before Rocco pulls the damn plug? Inexcusable management. Completely gave this game away. Time for a TD writer to retract their article yesterday about Rocco pulling all the right strings.

Yep, he's regaining that MoY form all right

Rocco treated winder like it was the 4th inning of a blowout. “Just get us some outs” is something you generally don’t say in the 7th inning of a close game

Yeah... if Nick's going to cherry pick a game that Rocco managed well, it'd only be fair to pick a few where he didn't...
