You are correct on 2. OBP increases with a base on balls. Slugging percentage is unchanged with a base on balls. Hence, OPS increases with a base on balls.

What if your OBP was already 1.000?

(Buxton bias)  Byron get's off to a quicker start and his speed allows him a basket catch, without having to face plant himself.  Runner hold us and doesn't score on the possible  SF.
