Welcome to The Show, Royce Lewis!

You think the average fan would rather see Lewis than Correa? No. CC is one of the ten to twenty best players in the game.

Not necessarily. But there’s been enough hype around Lewis to maybe see a slight uptick in attendance. Correa is obviously a must watch.

This is a great opportunity for Lewis to show that he deserves the long term job at SS. If he does that over the next couple of months, I could see the Twins moving Correa by the trade deadline. Falvey and Levine have already shown they are willing to do deals that will make the team worse in the short term for long term benefit (Rogers and Berrios deals). Since I see little chance that Correa stays in Minnesota after the season, cashing him in for young talent with years of team control makes some sense.

I would love for Correa to stay. I suggest FO find out if he intends to stay and if they can work out a deal for him to stay before the trade deadline, so they will know whether to trade him or not. They are professionals and they know this I am sure. We shall see what happens. But I hope he stays.

At shortstop? I guess it took a busted finger of the $105 million dollar man for them to finally listen to me. Wouldn't it be classic if Royce started playing like they paid Correa a fortune to play and they had to figure out what to do with Correa? I never understood that signing and never will.

I respectfully disagree. Correa is a leader and a winner and just what the Twins need to win it all...(well plus a little more pitching, and for Buck to stay healthy)

Correa's finger not broken. Not going to IL and is listed as day-to-day. Lewis debuts with Arraez on covid list. Glad Correa isn't gone for long, but bummed Lewis isn't likely to get more than a few days to show what he can do.

I can only assume you’ve missed the half dozen “web gem” type plays he’s made to save multiple runs. And his bat is coming around. And as you have seen with literally dozens of other players, prospects aren’t guaranteed to pan out.

I’m not sure how you don’t understand the signing.

Similar scenario to Kirillof' wrist injury.  That's developed nicely?

I am a bit concerned that Correa might have trouble with the bat upon his return. The proper use of the fingers in a pain free manner might be important in the art of hitting a baseball.
