The pen is pretty rested, and they still have a 28 man roster. Why is Jax coming into a 1 run deficit?
Rocco giving up as well?

We’re “in the game”, isn’t that all that counts? That’s how I used to look at my high school football team’s results (we stunk)

People overrate the leverage of a one run deficit. It's wildly different than a one run lead. If you use your best relievers in a one run deficit, that means you'll use your less-good relievers a lot in one run leads.

I'm still not on-board with Griffin Jax in this bullpen.

You must really not be on board!  :)

Looks like this is one of those instances where Rocco's really going to see if Jax is worth an MLB roster spot. No use in just putting the guy in 6-run games, see if he's able to do the real job. If not, here's a light rail ticket.

I have to agreed with the rest of you guys, I wouldn't put Jax into a one run game. He's a mop-up reliever at best, until he shows otherwise.

I hear ya, but what's the point of wasting a roster spot on a guy who can't get outs when it counts? Ideally your mop-up guy can still get the job done in a tight situation, at the very least they should be able to hold their own.

If y'all aren't willing to give Jax a chance in the bullpen, I sometimes wonder if we watch the same games.

A chance sure. This is new to him and I think there are better options at AAA. Let him polish his act as a bullpen guy in St. Paul.

Who’s the last “big name” trade/signing that really worked out for the twins? I don’t mean someone we took a chance on, I mean an all star type that we signed and actually delivered? Orlando Cabrera? He was a gold gloved we didn’t sign until July.  Carl Pavano? Shannon Stewart? Luis Castillo?

Greatest free agent signing? Jack Morris. It's not even close.
