What, you mean like in the 8th inning on Saturday?

Yeah, he came through there and I'm not saying he's hopeless in those situations, but he couldn't get the ball on the ground (with his speed they aren't gonna turn two) and he couldn't hit it deep enough to get the runner home. There aren't many players who are nails in those situations and I don't think Buck is there at this point.

Somebody enlighten me. Say the Twins take a lead in the bottom of 6 here but don't complete the half inning before the game is stopped. Do the Twins get the win or is the inning wiped out because it wasn't completed?

And don't say yes.

So we're not supposed to answer your question?

They'd win in that scenario going ven they're the home squad.  Not positive that would be the case if they were the visiting team though.

Winder probably would have been much more poised and effective in a second inning.

Thank God Baldelli did not think so.

That's what I thought at first as well. But then I had second thoughts when I realized that it's not like the bottom of the 9th where the game ends the moment the lead run scores.

Right, I follow the logic.  But if the game is called, it's a legal game since 4.5 innings have been played.  They wouldn't have to finish the inning in that case.

I’m trying not to single out individual players as much this year but my god, the miguel sano experience just needs to end at this point

Yeah... I just don't see the value in waiting two months until he breaks out (assuming this is going like the 2021 version of himself) where he's a -1.0 WAR player during the slump and then he hits well enough to make it appear like it was a successful season. The early games count too!
