Former Twins - a quick first week look

I loved the Taylor Rogers vs Tyler Rogers relief experience this week - Taylor won.  It was great that the two teams had the Twin Brothers each bring out their lineups to the Umpires.  Watch the MLB video.  But in addition, Taylor has been in three games, has three saves, no earned runs, Three strikeouts.

Ben Rortvedt is close to coming back to the Yankees - here is the note from MLB.com - "Rortvedt had imaging done recently that revealed no sign of the right oblique strain he sustained in February. He is expected to significantly increase his hitting activity starting Monday. He had already been active defensively, catching bullpen sessions and making throws of up to 120 feet. He is expected to return to the lineup sometime in April."

Trevor May is also injured, Here is a paragraph from MLB.com - "Asked to record more than three outs for the first time in his Mets career, May visibly winced following a ball-four pitch during Monday's game against the Phillies. Afterward, he said he was going through something akin to a dead-arm period, with soreness in both his biceps and triceps. May was scheduled to go for an MRI on Tuesday to make sure there is no structural damage in his arm, but he described that as more of a precaution than a genuine concern."

They also added this note on John Curtiss, "The Mets signed Curtiss on April 6 understanding that he will miss the entire 2022 season rehabbing from Tommy John. They hold an option on his contract for 2023, so if they’re pleased with what they see, they will exercise that and make him a part of their bullpen next season. Curtiss underwent surgery last September while he was in the Brewers' organization. "

Brent Rooker has not played yet.

J. T. Chargois has pitched one inning and has one strikeout and no earned runs for Tampa Bay.

Brusdar Graterol has been in two games - no earned runs, 1 K and 0.75 Whip

Aaron Slegers is in the minors and on a 7 day IL.

Jose Berrios has a 108.00 era - his one start did not go well.  I suspect that ERA may go down!

Isiah Kiner-Falefa has an .091 BA which is below Correa's .125.

Josh Donaldson is batting 250 and has one dramatic game winning hit.

Eduardo Escobar is batting 286 and has an OPS of 944 for the Mets

Kyle Gibson pitched a seven inning shut out and has a whip of .286 for the Phillies.

Wilson Ramos has not played.

C J Cron is with the Rockies and is hitting 353 with 2 HRs and 1.176 OPS

Jonathon Schoop is hitting 214 for the Tigers with a 624 OPS

Aaron Hicks is batting 273 for the Yankees with a 657 OPS

Niko Goodrum has 8 ABs and no hits for the Astros

Akil Baddoo has no hits in 9 ABs

Liam Hendriks had one appearance and did not go well - one inning 18.00 era
