Twins stories on Twins Daily front page

What does it tell us when there are more blogs about the Twins minor league system and their associated teams on the front page of Twins Daily then there are blogs about the Twins themselves? We are only 2 weeks into the Twins season.....

Totally makes sense... 1 team in 1 location with 25 players vs. 4+1 (EST)+3 (SS) teams in 6 locations with 200 players or so. Many more opportunities. Add to that the draft and the amateur international FA stuff, and it is overwhelming towards the minor league side of an organization.

 

I am really amazed that there is not more about the minors. Really. It all has to do with access, but that has been mitigated the last few seasons. Not enough to say or blog about the Twins. There is an overkill of coverage by the main media of game recaps and canned team fed news as is. I think that it would be repetitious (and tedious) to rehash those on blogs.

 

This is part of what makes this site so great. You don't see the same story with the same quotes written five times like you see with the beat writers...

I understand what you are saying, I enjoy watching the young guys work their way up the organization ladder too but I would not like for this site to become more about the Twins minor league system then it is about the Minnesota Twins. Just a personal preference and I am not saying it is right or wrong, I was just curious to see what others out there are thinking.
