Who will stay and who will go?

It appears that at least two of the Twins' disabled pitchers will be ready to go this month. Diamond is on schedule to start April12, and Swarzak should be ready about then, as well. Who gets sent down or released, or outrighted? It looks like De Vries could be disabled if he can't go on Sunday. Roenicke and Robertson could be in jeopardy if and when Swarzak is ready. What is the opinion of Twins Daily readers

I would peg Roenicke as the first guy down, and by the time both Swarzy and Diamond are back there could be someone headed to the DL to replace them, if not, I think Hendriks or De Vries could be headed to pitch in the AAA rotation. Robertson is always an option too, but if I had to choose 2, Roenicke goes first, followed by De Vries. I think the Twins will give Hendriks a chance to suceede before sending him back to AAA, I'm not sure what else he has to prove down there after a very successful 2012 AAA season.

My guess would be DeVries will wind up on the DL making it an easy transition for Diamond. Roenicke or Robertson probably go down when Swarzak is ready. Too bad they have to make any such move though, with the nice start collectively by the pitchers. Must be nice to be a Rule V guy--Pressly knows he's in very little danger of being moved.

I'd guess Diamond for Hendriks, unless De Vries is hurt. Swarzak can stay in the minors until someone fails or gets hurt. Roenicke has struggled a little, but he should get more of a chance. IMO Swarzak should now have to wait his turn.

I think it's 30 days for pitchers (20 days for position players). My question would be if there is a limit to how long he can stay on the DL - I can imagine him coming in to "work" and being told "your arm still hurts" until they actually need him.

Roenicke is out of options, so the Twins would attempt to outright him and risk that he would be claimed. It would also clear a spot on the 40-man whether he was claimed or not. I think that is a gamble worth taking on a 30-year old middle reliever who doesn't throw that hard and has a history of control problems.
