Responsiveness of Post Pages on Mobile (Chrome) Browser

I thought I'd mention this in case anyone else is experiencing it - I've not been able to open an individual post / thread on a mobile browser for about a week or so.  For whatever reason, I can 'touch' a thread title (or blog post title) and it does nothing but freeze the browser.

I haven't investigated to see if there is a blocking JavaScript process or some other error happening. It's pretty consistent on Google Chrome running on my iPhone 8.

When this happens, is there a Wisconsin tourism ad appearing at the bottom of the screen? I've reported the ad but maybe it's still popping up. There is a red/orange, fall-inspired look to the ad. Whatever it's doing with JS, it renders most of the screen unclickable.

I'll keep an eye out for it - in most cases I've noted the page stops rendering altogether. It will time out after a bit, but you're left with a mostly blank screen.

I've noticed my phone freezing up sometimes when I use it to visit the site, but because it's frozen I can't scroll down to see what ad might be playing.

But, leave it to Cheeseheads to screw up your site for you. :)

I’m not sure which ads specifically are causing the problems but the continuous pop up ads really get in the way particularly when you are typing responses. On mobile half the screen is keyboard, then the pop up covers half of the reply box covering the portion that is being typed so you can’t read what you are typing.

I can confirm I have also had a lot of problems with the mobile version, as I just get swamped with ads, more than usual. I've been sticking to using only the desktop version for the past week or two.

Same, but even non-mobile the ads are intrusive and feel like they are constantly in the way.  I've got my ad-blocker off but I could see why people would turn it on just to avoid the nuisance.  I've hit clickbait articles that are less pop-uppy.
