GAME THREAD: Twins v Indians x 2 @ 2:10 & 6:40

I tend to agree on the Arraez thing. He's also extremely overmatched by lefties. Career SLG under .300 against them.

.734 OPS and everyone screams that he's one of the best hitters they've ever seen.

He's so close to Ben Revere just with no speed and better walk numbers. Revere had almost 5 consecutive .300 seasons with .298 being the only one of those years under .300.

Mr Ryan seems a bit high strung and partially full of himself.  Didn't even make a reflexive move to make a  play.  Doesn't wait for the trainer or anyone else,

to pull himself from the game.  Even if he knew he shattered his wrist, he could have followed a more familiar protocol.

I know he's a confident pitcher.  I know he knew he wasn't going to be able to continue.  But come on, you have to at least act like you are team member.  Maybe he's just what we need.  soeone to cut through the bulldung.

Well, the good news is he'll be ready for 2022 even though he's probably done for 2021. Is Gant also done for the year after yesterday? Let's see that leaves us 4-5 innings a game from Ober, 3-4 from Pineda, and .... ??? Wow, we get to see more of Griffin Jax and Charlie Barnes. Maybe even more of Albers. Oh boy, can't wait! This is becoming so pathetic that you just have to laugh. Or cry...

Sooo, any chance of starting Strotman, Balazovic or anyone else in these last 17 games?  I know, No.

I'd be pretty impressed if the Twins management had the ability to develop an adult attitude in the time Ryan's been with the team.

It starts in the minors, or is supposed to.

That's a relief.  Still sucks A LOT, but better than breaking something.

Baldelli's new word for 2021, c-o-n-t-u-s-i-o-n.  Can you use it in a sentence.  The back of my head has a contusion, from me slapping it all season.

Ryan was traded for on July 29, pitched in the Olympics and then reported to the Twins on August 15. He’s been a Twin for a month. How much molding and team building happen in a month?

he’s 25…

You walk in the door and are told what is expected of you; Yankees are told NO BEARDS, end of conversation.

Don't forget Chase Petty, I hear he's throwing heat in simulated games down in Fort Myers!

Yeah, the Yankees are not the team I'm going to take culture clues from. Besides, "no beards" is a control over appearance; not a mandate on behavior

My read on the guy is that he's impulsive but humble enough to know it's a problem. I think he'll grow out of this sort of thing.

I suppose that it's also possible that he thought it was much worse when it happened.  But still, something to work on for sure.

Dumb, somewhat similar story...I once took a throw off of my forearm while sliding into 3B.  It caught me just right that pain shot up my arm and down my spine, yet really didn't catch me solid.  But apparently, I reacted as if it hit me in the face and everyone freaked out.  All I ended up with was a welt and a decent bruise.  I caught quite a bit of flack for it for a while.
