With Cook out, I want to see more Nwangwu and less Mattison.

I'm guessing Zimmer will see it differently though.

Mattison has looked like a back who becomes more effective the more carries he gets in a game, so I do think he should get the majority of touches, but Nwangwu should absolutely be rotated in and given some jet sweeps, even just to be a decoy.

By the way, Mattison's last two games against the Lions:

21 carries 95 yards, 3 catches for 50 yards and 2 total TDs

25 carries 113 yards, 7 catches for 40 yards a TD

Pick him up in fantasy football if you can!

I can't believe anyone is playing football with a torn labrum. That's nuts. I hope he takes care of his body.

It's actually not rare for players to play through a torn labrum, I can think of several guys who have [tried]. It is also unclear whether he tore it on the play or before the game, as I have seen conflicting reports.

BTW, former Viking Alex Boone said that he's been playing on a torn ACL for 5/6 years, apparently he played through it as a Viking/Cardinal/Seahawk. I don't know how or why, but there are still some tough guys in the NFL. Sometimes stupidly tough.

The Rams & 49ers appear to be in for the 5th and 6th Seeds. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Eagles take the 7th seed. They have a pretty easy schedule over the next 4 games.

Here are current wild card odds (playoff odds minus division odds), per 538:

Rams 78%
49ers 72%
Vikings 47%
Saints 22%
Washington 21%
Eagles 15%

Eagles are still hanging in there, but it's hard for them to be too optimistic about an upcoming "easy schedule" after just losing to the Giants. Eagles and Washington still play each other twice too, which has the potential to eliminate one or both teams from the race.

Saints have lost 4 in a row since Winston went down for the year.

If the Vikings can just get to 8 wins, they will also likely be in good tiebreaker position (conference games, then common games) vs each of the Eagles, Saints, and Washington.

Seems like for three hours on Sunday I always want them to make the playoffs.

The rest of the time I’m desperate for them to clean house and start over.

I’m actually at peace, perhaps over confident, that Zimmer is gone after this season minus a Super Bowl win. This organization desperately needs to be updated to a modern day offensive philosophy, and I hope the Wilf’s have recognized this.

In the meantime, might as well try to back into the #7 seed and see if we can luck our way to a win in the playoffs.

Yeah, they are.

I’m really tired at all this vaccine shaming by non medical people. I myself am fully vaccinated, therefore am not concerned in the least about those who aren’t. Why should I be, if these vaccines are so great, why should I even care. The whole argument that people must get vaccinated to protect those that are already vaccinated is ridiculous. It’s no wonder a large percentage of people are hesitant. Definitely plenty of “stupidity” on both sides.

I’m not that confident. I’m afraid that Zimmer will stay even if the Vikings lose 10 games.

I think the Lions get their 1st win on Sunday, plus the Vikings will split with the Bears, lose to the Packers and the Rams, giving them 10 losses. And Zimmer keeps his job. I could be wrong, they might lose to the Steelers too.

If they go 7-10 and miss the playoffs no way in hell Zimmer keeps his job. No way.

we have really hit a weird cultural point where people are shaming those who shame the selfish and inconsiderate members of society.

Aww, that’s so cute. I wonder how many people have decided to get vaccinated because people like you call them stupid or selfish and inconsiderate. My guess is not many.

I don't call them selfish out of any false belief they'll change their behavior.  After all....they're selfish and inconsiderate. Why on earth would I expect them to recognize their stupid behavior and change it?  If they had that ability, they'd already have done the right thing.  Sometimes, it's nice to just call someone out for what they are.  If they want to wear "I'm an Idiot" as a badge, that's on them.  If you want to keep defending selfish idiots, that's your right to throw in with that lot.

That’s nice, I get it you just want everybody to be as smart as you, or in the least do what you say. These players are all following NFL rules, but Because you found something that works for you so everyone must comply or else. They can have no valid reason to resist, right. How do say it “Trust me?” Lol. you don’t  have time to waste on all the “idiots”. Because it’s all about your comfort and safety, or your favorite football team. Sounds selfish and inconsiderate to me.

I didn't say "or else".  I just called them out on being selfish and inconsiderate.  All the drama is you.  Die on that hill all you want, I said what I said.

So you call people all these names for no reason. I mean if you’re not trying to change their minds there is no rational reason for you to do that. And if I have something to comment about that, I’m causing drama? I see, it’s pretty clear who’s really selfish and inconsiderate. But don’t take it personal, I’m just calling you out

I also call water "wet" and salt "salty".  I gladly accept your label of " guy who accurately describe stuff".  Thanks.
