I'm totally good with this.  The number one priority now is losing all the game we should lose and moving in a new direction this offseason.

Some of the young defensive players looked good today and Darrisaw continues to look like a legit LT.

I am good with a loss too, and as many future losses as we can get the rest of the year. However, one thing that needs to happen before the offseason is finding anyone else to call offensive plays. We’re trending towards Justin Jefferson forcing his way out of here if things continue as they are. He went 2 hours in real time between targets. That is unacceptable.

They had to feed cook, you know.

It doesn’t matter that the Packers are without Rodgers. Their 7 wins is probably enough to win the division

Love might be able to hold down the fort. If he can, the division is the Packers’.

And of course feed Ham during critical situations. It’s mind boggling. Conklin led the team in targets today. After the amazing rookie campaign Jefferson had it’s a fire able offense to not involve him heavily. if I were him I’d be fuming behind the scenes.

I'd ask for a trade for sure. I'd certainly be as unhappy as Kirk and Adam.

A new OC will come with a new coach.

One 66 yard run and basically squat on the ground aside from that. The team and the announcers have to stop praising the Vikings for ‘sticking with their game plan’ and other such nonsense.

The Vikings have a game plan?

So, I hate the Bears and I'm glad they lost, but Tony Corrente threw that game last night right? If he didn't, he had to have had some unveiled personal vendetta he was exercising.

I mentioned it before, but I don't know how the NFL can continue to act like they can operate however they please, hide behind prepared statements and never be forthcoming when they are now so closely tied to legalized sports betting. If they keep acting like they are untouchable, congress is going eventually knock over their house of cards. If the officials get tied to game fixing, the league will be in trouble, because unlike the NBA, fan interest is so dependent on fantasy and sports betting; if that gets taken away it's over. MLB is struggling in different ways, but if either league collapses, it's going to be because of their own greed and hubris.

So the Vikings, up 14-3, get a pick with about 1:40 before halftime. Downed inside the 15. On 1st down, call a running play...OK. Good idea. At worst, you burn 35 seconds off the clock, or force a TO from Baltimore.

But..

No.

The stupid *********** VIKINGS call time, followed by the completely predictable discombobulated 2 incomplete passes and a FG...leaving Baltimore 1:30 and 2 TOs. Why in heaven's name are the VIKINGS calling a TO there???

Vikings lineman Oli Udoh was down on the field, injured on that play. In the last two minutes of a half, there are no "injury timeouts" so the Vikings were charged with a timeout.

Dalvin Cook has been accused of physical and emotional abuse in a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend.

The suit alleges assault, battery, and false imprisonment, and that Cook's alleged abuse caused a concussion. The woman, 29-year-old Gracelyn Trimble, also accuses Cook of holding her hostage with a firearm. Trimble is seeking unspecified monetary damages.

There is A LOT to this.....I'd suggest looking around for more than this.....

Yeah, sounds like there's way more to this story and Cook's agent is trying to get out ahead of something that's going to make Cook look bad.

Adam Schefter has to go. Everything he says these days is propaganda from either a GM, an agent or the league. He'll spin anything in any way his "sources" want as long as he gets the scoop. He's no longer an actual journalist.

For all I know, Cook IS the victim, but because it's coming from Schefter, I automatically think whatever he says is a big fat untruth.

Also, if Cook did something terrible, that should be the final nail in Spielman's coffin as well. His desperation extensions over the past year or so are almost unanimously disasters.

Weren't there known personal issues even when he was drafted?

Pretty sure that was after the 2nd down play.

You're right, it was. But I think it is still the correct explanation. I was going by this report:

Looking back at the condensed game video, I think the TV broadcast got it wrong. Their score bug docked a timeout from the Vikings at 1:37 (after the 1st down play), but then it docked one from the Ravens at 1:33 when Udoh was down (after our incomplete pass on second down).

But the ESPN play log (as well as the tweet above) suggests that those timeouts were actually reversed: the Ravens called time at 1:37, and the Vikings were charged with one at 1:33 due to Udoh's injury.

That would make more sense, as the Ravens wanted to stop the clock after our first-down run so they could get the ball back with more time on the clock. And even though the 2nd down play was an incomplete pass which stopped the clock, Udoh being down would have still charged the Vikings with a timeout anyway according to NFL Rule 4, Section 5, Article 4:

Quote

INJURY TIMEOUTS AFTER TWO-MINUTE WARNING OF EITHER HALF
After the two-minute warning of a half, the following shall apply:
(a) If a team has not used its three charged team timeouts, the team of the injured player will be charged a team timeout, unless:
(i) the injury is the result of a foul by an opponent;
(ii) the injury occurs during a down in which there is a change of possession, a successful field goal, or an attempted Try; or
(iii) the opponent calls a timeout.
