The Twins host the Royals tonight.

 

By the time the Royals-Twins series ends, the Vikings season will have begun. I can tell you how the Vikings season will end right now before it even starts:

Anyway, back to the Twins.

If you are not still buzzing from the perfect game bid Wednesday night, then get buzzing again already!  Joe Ryan's performance called back to other rays of hope in dark times, moments when one thinks, "this was special, this might be happening, I might actually be able to get my hopes up."

I am thinking of things like Puckett's debut, or Hrbek's home run in Yankee Stadium in 1982, or Killebrew's walk-off homer before the All Star break in '65 (before my time), or Dozier's walk-off in 2015, or Morneau's homer off Zumaya in 2006, or even the Arraez pinch hit walk in 2019. 

So get buzzing!

I wait all winter for baseball season to start; I do not care if it is for first place to just to improve the record, I enjoy and await all Twins games.

Comparing the two starting pitchers, it would appear that Mr. Jax really needs to keep the ball in the park.

Well, forget that idea. Jax gives up a massive 3 run dinger in the first. I know we're evaluating players, but haven't we evaluated Jax enough? He MIGHT have a future in the bull pen. But not in an MLB rotation.

Jax has now yielded 18 homers in 59 innings. At this rate, he would only need to pitch 178 innings to set the all-time record for homers allowed in a season. Bert set the record when he pitched 271 innings

I remember a game at the 'dome vs the White Sox ... and the Sox scored, like 7-8 runs in the 1st inning or two, and the Twins answered back ... went like that all game ... I think the Twins ended up winning but both teams were in double digits

Looks like Sano is answering the bell when it comes to the "do I have a spot on the team" competition for next year. Refsnyder, maaaaaybe. Rooker, not so much. You guys think that Kirilloff goes to LF next year so that Sano can play 1B, Donaldson 3B/DH with Arraez doing the same? It's not like Larnach or Rooker has made a case to take the LF job for next year, that's for sure. Refsnyder as 4th OF and we again pray the Kepler will figure out how not to pop the ball up and actually hit .250 with 25 HRs?
