Where was this team during the last three months? We are unstoppable.

When will I ever learn?

See, this was all part of the plan. First, the false jinx followed by the anti-jinx pseudo-mea-culpa.

I admit mentioning a sweep.  I'm putting on my 'hair shirt' and have summoned the kings henchmen to Canterbury to flog me.

You knew it all along. Just had to be patient

This is reminiscent of ‘65 when Killebrew, in the final game before the all-star break, hit the huge walk-off against the Yankees to pound a huge nail into their coffin and solidify the Twins hold on first place….and a couple days later hit a big home run in the ASG in front of the home-town fans.

Except the Twins are nowhere near first, Polanco won’t be in the ASG, which won’t be in Minnesota. And it was the Tigers. But otherwise…just like that.

OMG I was just thinking the same thing!!!

Well, actually that yardwork made me wish it were 65 outside and that a Killibrew root beer would taste good, but otherwise...

And Jim Kaat was involved both then and now.
