Count me one that always liked, and still does, Gibson. Greg Maddux was a nibbler according to the hater's standards. I liked watching him, too. I will say it once more for Gibson.... Bite Me!

It’s ok to like Gibson, but likening him to Greg Maddux, that’s quite a stretch

Same here. Especially the uber/lyft drivers coming in from MI, IN and WI ... they haven't a clue. But yeah ... traffic is back, like a vengeance. I guess over all that's a good thing, but it's also not :)

On a separate note, I’ve been reading about Lalapolooza returning! Are you interested in spending $400 for a day pass?

omg ... I hate that thing! It's so loud (I live 1/2 mile from there) ... and crowds and crowds of people ... peeing wherever they can squat (although not nearly as bad as St. Patrick's Day)

Quite a stetch to liken that I likened him to Maddux. But that's OK to infer likens if you like.

More fun to watch deGrom. Another amazing 5 innings tonight.

And.... NC State sends Vandy to the loser's bracket. UVA the dark horse that I am pulling for. My college team from living in Charlottesville for 25 years and watching them become a force.

I would be interested in seeing one act performing at the festival. Marc Rebillet. I stumbled upon him last year and love his bit. He’s a DJ that improvs both the beat and lyrics. Once a person gives him a theme then, like a mad scientist, starts experimenting on the fly.

Suarez reminds me a lot of Sano, at least this year. Low BA and high K%, but he's still hitting HRs and knocking in RBIs. He hit 49 HRs in 2019, and also led the NL in Ks, which are two things I think Sano is also capable of, if he stay in the lineup for a whole season.

Well, if you buy a ticket and go, you can stay at my place. It won't cost you nearly as much as the ticket does.

$450 last time I checked and that was a couple years ago

Yikes. Do you live in Vegas? If so, I can’t imagine you’ve been able to play too often lately with the heat.

The Twins offense is decent, the defense with Buxton is fine, and even the majority of the bullpen (everyone other than Colome) has been pretty solid for the last month. The problem is the Twins stuck with Shoemaker and Happ way to long. It's incredibly frustrating to watch the team start Happ knowing he's going to give up multiple runs in the first 3-4 innings.

I shouldn't have mentioned it ... now I want a Thin Mint blizzard ... I worked hard today, I deserve it. Unfortunately, the nearest DQ is 4 miles away, and in Chicago traffic, I wouldn't make it before the 10pm closing

I drove through UP and Canada to avoid Chicago once lol

(top three greatest trips ever btw :) )

I've done that before, too ... when I lived/worked in Ottawa, CA ... going to/from Minnesota

That’s the confusing part. Was the preseason plan to have them both pitch the full season? Shoemaker’s contract signaled to me if he doesn’t have it, they could cut ties easily.

It doesn’t help that Smeltzer and Thorpe have been hurt most of the season. Not that they are great backup plans.

What was your favorite “Buxton just got off the DL” moment

I’m gonna assume the trainer’s number has been marked as spam on Buxton’s phone at this point.
