Actually no, though that's where we were trying to go with it. Velo is measured off the bat so there really isn't any negative Velo.

Got it. So a foul would be a > 90 launch angle. Or <-90...

(Obviously not all fouls are such, but all such are fouls)

It looks like the bullpen is unlikely to allow any inherited runners to score tonight.

No need to allow inherited runs to score when Shoemaker allowed so many outherited ones.

Yennier Cano with another scoreless outing for the AA ballclub. 27 years old signed just a few years ago. 1.55 ERA, 6.2 IP, 12 K's. Get him up. Now.

Bring him up before he gets his AARP card

And now for thinking ahead. The kid from Wi might go #1 next year:

1. Connor Prielipp - LHP

Prielipp_Connor.jpg?width=300 Bio:
Height: 2-Jun
Weight: 170 lbs
Hits/Throws: L-L
Hometown: Tomah, Wisconsin
School: Alabama

After dazzling in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, Prielipp enters 2021 as a must-watch arm for the 2022 class. He's added 25 pounds of muscle during quarantine, which has led to FB velocity at 93-96 MPH and has topped out at 97 this fall with command. His slider is firm and sat 88-90 MPH with late break and there's a developing change-up in the mid-80's that has promise. He's likely to be the first arm off the board in 2022.

So the runs that score from the dudes you put on base but the relief pitcher dinkus after you allowed to score, are those outherited runs?

Outheritance = urban dictionary for money a dad blows on hookers and booze instead of passing down to kids.

In baseball, it means to push your own baserunners allowed across the plate instead of handing them down to the reliever.

In a sentence:  'Shoemaker's outheritance was very generous tonight.'

But don't feel the least it bad about not knowing the baseball usage, since I just invented it 10 minutes ago.

Shoemaker's outheritance was excellent tonight.

Somehow the urban dictionary definition seems most appropriate at the moment.

Really beginning to wonder the extent of the clubhouse presence guys like Rosario and May were providing.  Those two constants for the last few years seem to be a big gaping whole right now with the outfield being a makeshift effort every night, and the bullpen a grotesque disaster.

I’m looking forward to the 2027 twins. That’ll be the team!

Only 2,178 days to May 1, 2027, grabbing a beer and few bags of popcorn and waiting on the next crop of studs to graduate from Twins Academy......
