Super Bowl XLVII

Some quick observations:

1. A sibling rivalry makes for entertaining television

2. All entertainers from here on out performing "The Star Spangled Banner" should be provided an official lyrics sheet

3. Don't put on a half-time show that your alloted utilities cannot cover

4. Octogenarians really love Taco Bell

All in all though a fun game to watch.

Niners should have won, their play-calling on 2-4 down there on that last drive was baffling.
Especially, that last endzone set.

It was a strange game that was inconsistently entertaining. Ravens go up big, blackout, 9ers comes back. I was pretty over it by the black out, honestly.

I'm happy Bert gets his MVP though.

Bert, nice. I think "inconsistently entertaining" is the best way I've heard to describe it.

And yeah, I was talking about that last endzone set, I'm not sure why I worded that so terribly. They were burning the Ravens on off-tackle runs up and down the field and then tried to force the ball in to Crabtree three times? Boggles my mind. Especially that one to the near corner of the endzone to Crabtree, looked to me like he had the endzone if he ran.

It is really interesting that Bryant McKinnie became the key to a team winning the Super Bowl. He and Oher handled the Bronco & 49er pass rushes extraordinarily well and gave the Ravens a way to win.

Really fun and unique game. Pretty meh with all the frills, but the football was great. Niners should have won, their play-calling on 2-4 down there on that last drive was baffling.

The goal line in the NFL is a game of rock, paper, scissors.

Even at those odds they should've had a better chance. Too many high risk to fail plays for 2nd and goal.

Agreed. When you have Frank Gore, why not give him the rock and let him run with it a couple of times?

It really was the complete reshuffling of their line. Osemele is the one who really impressed me. I've heard guys who aren't known for overblown statements say that he could be the best guard in football as soon as next year.
