Twins struggle with free agency

Here's my deal though. Why pay 3 bad guys? Pay one good one and fill in the rest with your system. 

 

Twins have always done this. Why not go after studs, then fill the other holes with guys you are so high on in your system?

 

I would rather have one corvette than 3 Ford Tauras. Just sayin...

 

Hill was bad? As expected, he missed three starts, but he was awesome when he was on the mound. I'd take him back in a heartbeat, especially if you have enough depth. If your starters go seven or eight deep, a missed start is often a blessing in disguise as you get to see that a Dobnak is actually a useful pitcher. Or Balazovic.
