Twins Spotlight: Episode 20 (Louie Varland)

Recommended Posts

On Thursday night (6:00 central time), Seth will be chatting with Minnesota native and Twins minor league RHP Louie Varland on a new episode of Twins Spotlight.

The discussion was live on the Twins Daily social media platforms, Twitter, Facebook or YouTube pages.

Louie Varland was the Twins 15th round draft pick in 2019 out of Concordia University in St. Paul. He was a multi-sport athlete at North St. Paul High School and then chose to become a Golden Bear, joining his brother Gus (who was drafted by the A's a year earlier).

He made a couple of appearances at Elizabethton in that summer of 2019. And then came this crazy 2020 year and season.

Join us live at 6:00 tonight to watch and participate by sending your questions. We'll cover a ton of topics from his youth ball, to getting drafted, signing, his development and much more.

Please watch LIVE at 6pm (central time) Thursday night on the Twins Daily Twitter, Facebook or YouTube pages live. Also feel free to ask questions in the comments below or on those platforms during the show and we'll ask them.

Enjoyed the interview, Seth, Thanks.

Too bad I can't do these live as I would have had a few more questions about Lunch. Is another old friend who I haven't seen in probably over 15 years. Great guy who knows everyone involved in baseball in Minnesota and beyond. Was surprised to hear that Lunch's son is also involved at Concordia.
