Or maybe SF leaked it to get this type of reaction out of Rodgers. Wow. Could be a really explosive night!

I would be VERY HAPPY if they trade Rodgers.

I mean at this point, I'm just VERY HAPPY!

Even if they keep him, he clearly doesn't want to be there. GB knows how fickle their supposedly awesome fanbase is too. Now that this is out, they're going to pick sides. The Great Wisconsin Civil War of 2021! This is just so awesome.

I'm going fishing this weekend in Winthrop Harbor, right on the WI and IL boarder, I can't wait to hit up the local bars.

Honestly, I almost hope they call his bluff and a trade doesn't happen. I'd bet he'd retire and they'd be left with nothing.

The cap hit is ridiculous, not sure they even can deal him.

But, sure, that's best case scenario!

Yeah... but I don't think it was smoke. I had checked out the Eagles' SB Nation site about two months ago, and there was a legitimate debate about whether they should go QB at #6, and they were pretty much split 50-50 on whether they should or not.

There are some crazy things going on in Philly - if you have an Athletic subscription, there's a great article on how GM Howie Roseman survived the 2020 season and it covers how owner Jeffery Lurie has been meddling with Roseman's drafts and causing chaos and rifts in the organization. If Lurie liked a QB at #6, he'd have Roseman do it, even with Hurts on the team. I guess then the logical move would be to trade Hurts since he's on a great contract? But it'd be a really bizarre move to make.

I understand, but just because fan sentiment thought that doesn't make it so.  My issue is they've framed it as "They dealt Wentz, so they must have a plan at pick 6"

And I just think....yeah, to draft Jalen Hurts some help.  People have just ran with this notion and it seems utterly ludicrious to me.  Hurts looks like a steal and he's making chump change.

I don't dislike SF, but I don't care for Mac Jones, and SF looks like a dangerous team long term if they nail a future stud QB, so I really hope it's Mac Jones. Lance and Fields could obviously be busts, but their ceilings seem so much higher, please find a way into the AFC.

The Trey Lance dream is dead. Not that we really had a chance at 14.

I wonder if the Mac Jones hype was just a smoke screen all along, or if SF truly had a split decision between Lance and Jones.

I think I'm the only one who thinks Pitts is a bad choice. Not that he's not an athletic freak, and not that he COULDN'T be good.

But every few years we get a "can't miss" TE going in the top end of the draft and not a one of them have worked out since Tony Gonzalez. I truly think TEs thrive based more on system and usage.

Yeah that’s why they were actively seeking a trade out of 4th overall. It’s not a pick that will generate instant star results. He could one day be spread out wide or in the slot, but that’s asking a ton plus be a TE as a rookie.

I like Ja'Marr Chase, but I didn't understand all the talk of him going there. I thought Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd were a pretty decent receiving tandem. Lot's of good wideouts in Cinci now.

Burrow will have to get rid of the ball immediately when it’s snapped to him with their bad OL.

The Rodgers trade hype seems to have died down now... as Denver took a CB 9th overall. Not quite what I expected.

Yeah, unless this turns into the NBA and players get traded after getting drafted, looks like Rodgers is staying put until at least June.

The trade down market is bad if all it took was a 3rd rounder to move up 2 spots... Feels like we’re gonna stay at 14. And Washington’s gonna be staring at another Ohio State QB who’s fallen to them.

Probably 1 pick off from getting Slater. Darrisaw or Vera Tucker

Since I don't have strong feelings about any of the OL, now I'd be Ok to trade down if someone thinks NE is going to take Jones and they want to jump ahead to take him.
