I really enjoyed the constant minor league report last year. An occasional CHS update would be nice

Will second Rosterman's question. Has anyone seen anything other than that initial leak about the extra 15 players? Could expect one reason may be to add players deeper in the minors that may be useful in trades as only players on the current 60-man roster are eligible for trades. Would also be great opportunity to get guys like Balazovic, Ober, Cantenaro, and this year's first round pick some work this summer.

That is true. It is something being discussed by MLB and MLBPA. 

 

It'd be good for a few reasons:

 

1.) 15 more players get to keep working and developing.

2.) Health and virus concerns, this could allow teams to keep moving.

3.) Alternate sites could play more intrasquad games with 45 players there than 30.

4.) And yes, would allow more trade possibilities, though Derek Falvey said the other day in a pregame zoom conference that the Player to be Named Later is still an option as well.
