Ump calls a ball high and outside to Garver and to Arraez strikes, and the game is changed. Were they close? Yes. Were they strikes? Almost, but no. Does close make it a strike? No. Were they great takes by the batters? Absolutely. What is wrong in the picture? The umpire's guess. And so it goes.... and never ends.....

He calls them the same for both sides, and I don’t believe it has changed the game one way or the other

Do you wear glasses? If so, how does a gaiter do with fogging?

I do ... it's not too bad ... when I'm riding the air flow seems to help with the fogging ... I'm going to try a trick someone told me about ... use medical tape, heh

I Do. It does every game everyday. Every single game. And umpires NEVER call them the same. Ever. They will call the same pitch location different calls all game. Why? Because they are guessing. That is all they can do. Not their fault, I guess. But I am not in denial.

so they have replay and still get the calls wrong, nothing run by humans is ever going to be perfect

I totally agree. That is the whole point of the original comment. And yet..... there are better options.....

but back to the game at hand..... and enjoying it.....

With Cleveland lineup, it made sense to use May in the 7th, with Stashak in the 8th. Their top of the order is tough, not so much the bottom. I'd just as soon not see Rogers pitch in the 9th, but if they don't score in the 8th, I suppose it will be the closer.

It definitely makes a difference; it helps to seal off the top of the mask so your breath can't fog the specs.

I have fashion tape ... but it adheres to the skin a bit too well, which is okay for other parts of the body, but not on the face ... so ... I'm going to try this ... my masks are very ... well ... folded up bandanas and hair binders, I put a metal clip over the nose and that helps a lot, but I think the medical tape will be better

Historically.... Rogers not as tough pitching 2 days in a row. But I hope he breaks through that envelope. Plus..... for me, always better to take care of today's game because there is no sure outcome that Rogers will be needed tomorrow. And he really hasn't been pitching much. 2 total innings.....

That’s a new one. I’ve been using the stuff-a-tissue inside strategy.

I have a mask that ties around the neck, and a metal bar for the nose. You mold the bar to your nose, and leave room to breathe down on the neck. If you are wearing glasses, you tuck the nose bar into the glasses, and you only breathe down.
