Preface

For those who don't know, I am running a SIM on MLB The Show for Twins baseball. I do the color commentary over the games and it's been received very well so far. I hope you enjoy the game!

Catch-up
Rick Renteria must've had a great talk with his ball-club yesterday. After leaving a ton of runs out in the field Friday the White Sox come back with a vengeance and take game two 9-2.  The Twins will turn to La MaKina, Jose Berrios, to try and take the final game of the series in Chicago.

Pre-game
12:45pmCT, 1:10pmCT start.

- 2019 through 15 games: 22

Storylines
1. Twins looking to build some consistency. In their last 9 games they only have one game with 10 hits as a club and are looking to try and light up the scoreboard. White Sox currently allowing the 2nd fewest hits as a club, (120), so something's got to give!
2. Chicago looking to win their second homestand of the year and win the series today led by the scorching hot bat of Yoan Moncada and Eloy Jimenez.
3. Jose Berrios went (2/3IP, 3H, 6ER, 4 BB) in his last start and is looking to come back to form today and hopefully provide a jolt for the Twins before they head north of the border and take on Toronto tomorrow.

It's said that one of the reasons people love sports so much is because of the fact that it delivers us so many, "movie-like," moments and keeps you on the edge of your seat...todays game was the embodiment of that.

To begin our breakdown of Easter Sunday I thought I'd share how the game started, with my favorite baseball score from the movie, Rookie of the Year. https://clips.twitch.tv/ResoluteBrightMangetoutKappaPride

After a very labor intensive first inning for both clubs, the Twins would begin our scoring today courtesy of a 2-RBI single from Jake Cave. https://clips.twitch.tv/LittleMoralTeaPogChamp. Reynaldo Lopez for the White Sox and Jose Berrios for the Twins would find out very early in this game that is was going to be a battle of wills as neither would finish the sixth inning. Berrios was looking to bounceback from a rough outing in Minnesota where he didn't even escape the first inning before getting the hook, (Twins would lose that game 15-2), and he was one out away from six shutout innings in Chicago-enter Jose Abreu. https://clips.twitch.tv/InquisitiveFragileRamenDogFace

The Twins and White Sox would duke it out some more and we headed to the ninth inning, Twins down to their FINAL out and their FINAL strike. Score reads 4-2 Chicago with runners at the corners, Bummer's 2-2 offering to Nelson Cruz.. https://clips.twitch.tv/HungryTastyDiamondSquadGoals. As I so often say in the booth, UNBELIEVABLE. The Twins get their clutch hit but the White Sox would answer as Jace Fry punches out Byron Buxton and we headed to the bottom half. And in the bottom half, the White Sox get ducks on the pond with the winning run 90 feet away. It's Yasmani Grandal vs. Sergio Romo..the 1-2 offering... https://clips.twitch.tv/BreakableCogentDugongFailFish.

Just like our ballgame on Opening Day, the Twins headed to the 13th. It was lucky for them in Oakland and it was lucky for them in Chicago. https://clips.twitch.tv/CrepuscularFaintVelociraptorPlanking. Jorge Polanco puts a charge into one on a hit and run and the Twins lead 6-4 in the 13th. The Twins would go on to the bottom half and Taylor Rodgers out for his THIRD inning out of the bullpen, shut the door on Chicago and picked up his second win of the year. The Twins get some timely hitting, it wasn't pretty but a bounceback start from Jose Berrios, and hopefully carry some momentum in their cases as they close the road trip north of the border in Toronto starting tomorrow at 7:07pmCT.

WP: Taylor Rodgers (2-1) 3.0IP, 3K's, 0ER

Jorge Polanco: 3-7 HR, 2 RBI, 2 Runs Scored Player of the Game

Nelson Cruz: 2-6 2B, 2 RBI, R

Jake Cave: 2-6 2 RBI, 2 R
