Keuchel has three postseason starts versus the Yankees:

1. 6.0 shutout innings

2. Four runs allowed in 4-2/3s

3. Seven shutout innings.

Yep. Who needs 180-200 average to good innings when the Twins have... *checks notes* 3 rookies with ~100 combined MLB innings?

Lessons can be learned in success and failure... Who would Dobnak/Smeltzer/etc. reach out to if they’re struggling in the season? Berrios, who’s just as young as them?

The pitching coach should be the first and best one. What works for Keuchal would not automatically work for some one else.

I suppose. How much time can Wes Johnson dedicate to a specific player in a given day? Peers can sit in the bullpen with a young player and share his knowledge with them in real time.

Just wanted people to read this again because THIS is the option we have chosen through poor forward planing followed by inaction both in free agency and the trade market...

Indecision....is in fact a decision....the FO will be painfully learning this lesson over the next two years  I perdict.

The player that is a student of the game then would be the best person to sit next to. Talented players often are not the best ones for information

I’m not content to abandon FA but I’m content to abandon Keuchel at that price.

But the FA ship has mostly sailed. That doesn’t mean it was okay the Twins missed out on so many players but it is the reality of the situation.

I'm not a huge Keuchel fan either, but it was down to just him and Ryu at the time, and given how badly this team needs SPs I could've justified the signing even if it wasn't choice 1-5. If they won't spend this offseason, I have no confidence in them spending going forward, and if that's the case I'd rather see them toss "bad money," to Kuechel on a 3 year deal than watch ownership pocket it and have to listen to the can being kicked down the road for another season.
