Holy sheet...care to share? One thing I noticed was that K Hunt was getting the extra slap and hit after the tackle all night...He did his time. He should not be taking hits like he did. I bet the comment from Rudolph had something to do with Hunt....Garret is out for the rest of the season.

I honestly think the suspension is too long and it's another example of the NFL putting PR first. And it's pretty crappy that the white QB who kicked him in the groin first isn't getting suspended.

The QB should be suspended, agreed. Not so much on the rest. This wasn't part of the play.

It doesn't matter who instigated it or what was said. I'm confident a lot of s*** talking happens throughout every game and nothing like what we saw happens. Yeah, Rudolph shoved Garrett's helmet first; Garrett also decided he needed to wrap Rudolph up spin him, and slam him to ground well after releasing a throw with 14 seconds left in game that was clearly decided. If Garrett doesn't decide to use Rudolph's helmet as a weapon we're probably looking at fines and everybody has moved on. There's a reason so many former players are disgusted with Garrett's actions.

It does matter. I wish Garrett would have just gave him a nice left hook and broke his big mouth. Using the helmet as a weapon is passed a line. Doesn't exonerate Rudolph for being a punk as bitch.

You see Garrett add the bad guy because of an over proportional reaction. I see Rudolph as the instigator, and the whole reason the altercation started. He is a punk.

Personally I think we could quibble about whether either was the instigator, but lets assume Rudolph was. The reason Garrett is seen as the "bad guy," is precisely because his reaction was so far beyond what anybody would deem proportionate. That's the part I don't think is hard to acknowledge.

I don't have a problem with the length... Garrett crossed a line he had no business crossing. They set a precedent with Burfict, like it or not.. I think you could argue that the indefinite part was wrong, but reality is that he's going to do the dog and pony show and will be playing week 1 of next year. 

 

I have a huge problem that Rudolph didn't get suspended (and I do think this plays right into the point you're making here). I don't know if the accusations of what was said are true since there's no audio to confirm/deny, but he clearly was instigating it from video alone... so yeah, he should have gotten a couple of games, and far more so if there was proof he used a racial slur.
