I never troll game threads. This is a family site.

I do troll Muskies and Walleyes. In another 2 weeks I'm casting Muskies til my arm falls off.  I may need the same surgery as Sam Dyson.

The fish of 10,000 casts. Good luck! Hope you land one! Dad, Uncle, Aunt, and I will be going Salmon fishing Columbus Day weekend. Hoping to get at least one of those big SOB's.

It's different. I lived in Brooklyn for four years and had a blast, but ultimately wanted to move back to CNY to buy a home and be closer to family. Fishing is wayyyy better up here. Close to the Adirondacks. Property is wayyyy cheaper. It definitely has it's perks.

I'm not long for NYC anyway. I've got two years tops in me.

This thread has made me a bit nostalgic for my Grandpa - used to fish for Wallyeye on Basswood Lake north of Ely.  He was very much got to get out by dawn - so not a lot of beer in the evening (or none for me at age 10).  I agree about Northern being fun fish to catch.

In the evening after eating a meal of fresh walleye - it was often listening to the Twins -on WELY  or Polka if there was no game.

It definitely wears on you. It was a great experience and helped me understand diversity on a different level. Great learning experience and met some lifelong friends, but I was ready to move back to the country; not that I live in the country now, but hope to be moving to a lake property in the next year or two!

Chin up, you’ll survive, I just read NYC has had their lowest murder rate in years.

Unless you’re a bike messenger, yeah, then two years might be a stretch.

I bike to work from time to time (only like 1.5 miles), and especially on the way back home, you start to see the food delivery brigade that peaks around 7PM. The fact that any of those guys are still alive is frankly shocking. I'm guessing the life expectancy of a bike deliveryman in Manhattan is 28, largely because most of them start at 25, and it's measured from birth.

Needless to say, I tip well on the very, very rare occasions that I order.
