Romo's been bad lately.

 

This is what happens when you can't score runs. Twins offense absolutely dead for almost 3 games now. Seeing eye singles aren't going to carry this team the rest of the way.

This is what happens when you can't score runs. Twins offense absolutely dead for almost 3 games now. Seeing eye singles aren't going to carry this team the rest of the way.

Pray tell, what was "bad" about his inning thus far?

 

Never mind that he hasn't given up a run in his last six appearances.

How was that bad? I’m not sure why Wade didn’t get an error for what he did allowing the runner to get to 3rd.

I got really scared when people on the board started saying, "You've got to be kidding..." This is one of the rare nights that I have to follow on the game tracker rather than TV and I thought Puig did something very bad there. Glad to see Romo get out of the inning.

That wasn't on Wade. He had basically no route based on his positioning. He was going full-out and missed by the ball by two feet. There was no angle to stop that from being a triple because it was either "catch, or don't catch". He couldn't ease up and stop it, nor did he have the time to take a different route to change anything (no matter that he was running almost completely laterally, which means he may have to run *farther* to stop it).

 

It was a play that boils down to "eh, that's just baseball".
