Tigers beat reporter on Twitter: "Drew VerHagen had never posted a double-digit strikeout game at any pro level. He didn't have one at Vanderbilt, either. He has 11 K's tonight after striking out middle of Twins lineup in order, all on curveballs, in sixth."

Post of the night.

I don't want to hear "gotta tip your cap."

I'd be cool with getting rid of Falvey and Lavine too. Overrated if you ask me. The fact that everyone in the baseball world knows the Twins entire pitching staff is poo and they did nothing to address it is a slap in the face to us fans who have followed the team for decades.

While I'm working up a good rant on Rocco...you won't use your bullpen until AFTER an obviously struggling Berrios blows a 3 run lead, but NOW you're perfectly happy to burn through the top half of your bullpen in a game you trail.

Brilliant.

The Tigers pitcher is an awful pitcher. Idk about the Twins hitters if they can't get more than three runs of a guy with a 6+ ERA. Rowson may need to go at the end of the year.

Especially Arraez with his 2 Ks. He just swinging and missing the least amongst all MLB batters with 300 swings (or some such).

Everyone's HOFer Arraez last 28 days coming into tonight:.721 OPS

Last 7 days: .558 OPS

Easy guy to like, but he ain't a .350 hitter, and he has little to no power.

The Twins really haven't been playing their best baseball at home. It's disappointing, but maybe if this is a trend it won't be that bad to start potential playoff series either at NY or Houston.

Problem is that there is a decent likelihood they don't even reach the playoffs.

Well, I say yes and no. They have an off day Monday, and they’re still in this one—to the second part, anyway (using Romo).

I guess he still thinks he has a chance to win against lowly Tigers.
