Great win good to see a healthy Dyson and man Romo is just a competitor still feel need to possibly bring up one of the hard throwing kids Alcala or Gaterol for the final push. Duffy and Harper have done good up until this point just feel that teams have caught onto the junk pitches and unfortunately May is to inconsistent to put out there in Sept high leverage situations. Great win momentum builder but in playoffs or sept it all comes down to late innings.

I am never a fan of May. I still believe May has a better chance of surviving Sept high leverage situations than Harper.

I like tires too.

Er...

Brainfart.

For some reason i was thinking Goodwin was a tire company. Must of been thinking of Goodyear?

Now i mistrust my memory and wonder if Goodwin Austin is another old atlas listing for k2.

But that's probably just me getting used to being 2nd best...

And now i look it up, even that is wrong. It is Godwin-Austin, an explorer of the area, but has been rejected as the name.

Good quote from the wikipedia article on k2:

The Italian climber Fosco Maraini argued in his account of the ascent of Gasherbrum IV that while the name of K2 owes its origin to chance, its clipped, impersonal nature is highly appropriate for so remote and challenging a mountain. He concluded that it was:

"... just the bare bones of a name, all rock and ice and storm and abyss. It makes no attempt to sound human. It is atoms and stars. It has the nakedness of the world before the first man – or of the cindered planet after the last."

Glad i can still learn from being wrong...

It's good to see the Twins win a game when they make unforced errors.  It seems to me that for a healthy portion of the season, in close games, errors have cost them.  I can think of several games which they lost by 1 or only 2 runs, in which bad errors played a critical role. One could even say, the errors cost them the game.  Someone who knows how to look into statistics would have to check this out, but ever since their big lead over the Indians has begun to shrink and disappear, the Twins have made a lot of errors, and those games are often close.

Earlier in the year, it seemed like baserunning blunders were a big part of their game.  Luckily, they were winning by large margins and those mistakes didn't cost them too many games, if any.  For the most part, they've cleaned that up.  (Maybe because they stopped attempting steals altogether...)  But, coming down the stretch, it would be helpful if they could eliminate the errors from being a factor in the final decision. Now that it's a dogfight, it may just come down to that.
