My initial reaction was obvious homerun. But Bremer’s call was very weak, and the outfielder was jogging in from centerfield like it was a lazy fly...almost fooled me

Oh I got so fooled, until I saw the ball come crashing back to earyh

So, Miguel is obviously the hero and well deserved, but can we all take a moment to appreciate another great job by Arreaz? His timely hitting and amazing approach at the plate have made some of these home runs both possible and soul crushing for the other teams. I really don't know how they could go back to Schoop at this point. He is providing to much value by either starting rallys or continuing them.

Didn't Eddie have one before tonight?  Or was Eddie's just for the lead late?

Twins walkoffs this season:

Kepler in the 17th vs. Boston

Kepler in the 9th vs. Oakland

Sano in the 9th vs. Atlanta

Rosie's dinger where he went all Pedro Cerrano with his trot was a late-inning blast to grab the lead but not a walkoff.

Very good point! Table-setters are every bit as important as those who clear the table.

Better literature, sure, but this is Twins Daily. You read the poetry earlier, right?

Have you seen the way Yankees fans write? I stand by my comment, even if limericks aren't exactly William Wordsworth or Emily Dickinson. Sometimes a little Ogden Nash is a nice change of pace. (OK, I guess those weren't Ogden Nash either.)

If we can just figure out how to spell his name...like from the roster! I agree that Sweet Luis deserves to be a fan favorite. This guy is a special hitter, and I believe he will develop into a solid fielder in a year or so. The announcers were saying he's channeling Rod Carew, but I think he looks more like Tony Gwynn at the plate. I'm sure we'll take either one...

I love watching him play. He's becoming my favorite Twin.

He's earned his playing time and I'm willing to bet that he's not going back to Rochester.

However, We just won with Sano, Cron, Schoop and Garver on the bench.

Arraez can play 2B, 3B and OF... it doesn't have to cost Schoop the Lions share of playing time.  :)

This team is a thing of beauty.

I wonder if some power will come with the man muscles.

Okay, I'll get to work on my version of, "The Gods of the Copybook Headings" now for my next opener.

You guys are demanding.

Or, maybe, "The Charge of the Light Brigade."

"Ozymandias?"

Good point about all the power on the bench.

WOW to the ending.

Congrats to Arraez on another great game.  I loved when Kaat said that Carew had mentioned that Arraez is trying to be Carew.  We should be that lucky.

WOW again to the ending.

This team is now only two homeruns behind the 1964 Twins team and 6 behind the all-time leading 1963 Twins team.

Side Note: The Twins walk off Atlanta, one of the best teams in the league, and MLB.Com has nothing about Sano's walk-off.

Instead, Villar, who plays for a team that's going nowhere, the Orioles, gets a headline about hitting for the cycle.

Of course, the Dodgers aren't getting a lot of headlines, either, and they've been a machine all year.

I think he will add some extra power in time, but I remember when Arraez decided to drive a ball about a month ago. He cranked one into the second deck, in Thome territory. Just like Carew and Gwynn, Arraez is a bat control contact hitter, but when he really wants to belt one, he can put extra leg and back into it, and hit a baseball a long way.

Arraez is absolutely a gamer. Twins needs as many as possible. Cave and Schoop hardly deliver when it matters. I hope not to see Cave and Schoop in the lineup much.

Hate to say it, but it's true. I'm hoping LaMonte Wade heals up quick, so we can get a better look at him. As for Schoop, he's likely to see less and less game time so long as Arraez continues to shine. OMG...Arraez and Shine.... I'll see myself out...

If you think about it, this team really does have a lot of depth. Not everybody is a star, but most of these guys is at least capable of looking like a star for a while.

Mejia just got put into the game for the cardinals in LA. First pitch? Behind Justin turner

Mejia since getting DFA'd: 6 innings, 2 runs earned, 8/2 K/BB, 8 hits given up. It's intriguing to see a contender like the Cards using him, but he's probably not much more than a long reliever at this point.

I cannot be down on Schoop because his arm is something else. He's turned some plays that people without his arm wouldn't be able to pull off.

I think Schoop will come around.

After review, the limerick was pretty good, and, while I'm normally not a fan of haiku, the ones posted worked quite well. Don't let that stop you from aiming higher - I'm looking forward to reading about Cruz, Sano, and the Charge of the not-so-Light Brigade.

Yeah, but "Ozymandias" and look upon my works and despair is sort of majestic, though it is a warning rather than uplifting.

i don't think I like Cave any better than you do, so why did you have to bring him to mind again? Mood ruined. :)

I honestly have not seen a guy who's torn up Triple A like Cave has come up and fall on his face so badly.

Both literally and figuratively. :)
