I've been fortunate enough to get to all 30, including Comerica several times since it's nearby. For an early Father's Day, my sons are taking me to a DH in Toledo tomorrow evening and Comerica on Sunday.

I'd call Comerica "solid." They were one of the first to start to add a lot of "fan-friendly" stuff, and I've likened walking up to the primary entrance (1st base side) as feeling like I'm walking up to a county fair. I've never taken the Ferris wheel, however. The statue of Ernie Harwell is a nice touch.

I've sat in the right field seats (Kaline's Korner), center field seats, down the first base line, and above home plate. Not a bad seat among them, though remember that because of how big the outfield is, your outfield seats will be even farther from home than normal.

Because the football field is next door, it seems like there's plenty of available (and reasonably cheap) parking nearby.

Enjoy!

All 30? Wow!

I've seen baseball in Detroit but it was in Tiger Stadium back then, so my info is out of date. I found the powder blue paint job in the outfield memorable in a not-good way.

I went to Tiger Stadium a couple times. It was lovable in a 1980s-dumpy sort of way. The best part was how the upper deck outfield seats were on top of the action.

On Sunday, I may talk my sons into driving by the old location. I was reading online the other evening that there is a baseball field on the site and that a developer is putting in apartments that will look over the site.

It's nice to see Marwin having a great game offensively. He's looking like he'll be worth the investment after a pretty bad April.

Now, who pitches the 9th?

yeah, May/June Marwin has been 2017 Marwin… Granted April Marwin was bad, but with a late spring. It's amazing what a great 10th guy can do when in a stacked lineup. You have to pitch to him.

I love me a good euphemism.

I came to be a connoisseur of them at an early age thanks to my school being an early adopter of parent/teacher/child conferences. Karma has thoughtfully arranged for me to revisit them in that setting as a parent.

Yes. I know this will probably get me my first warning points, but I'm tired of the Astudillo thing. No competent pitcher will ever again throw him a strike and his average is headed down toward .200. He is not very good at any of the positions he plays, is very slow on the bases. Time for Cave, Arraez, or even Gordon to come up and get some ABs.

Well I wanted Littel and Astudillo to be sent down when Cruz and Gaver came back. I wanted Arraez to stay on the roster. I could see this coming.

Ding ding ding. I had the worst and the best MLB experiences on consecutive games at old Municipal Stadium in Cleveland, a place with similar construction. First night we got cheap tickets which were downstairs and much of the play was obscured by pillars. Second afternoon we sprung for seats upstairs, and the seats were so close to the action that I felt like I could pluck the cap off the head of the on-deck hitter if I chose.
