Man, this one ain't looking good with Hader likely to pitch the final 2 innings.

Bullpen still really concerns me. There have been almost zero high-leverage bullpen innings (good thing!) recently and it's really disappointing to see them drop the ball here in this game.

For as good as Rogers has been, he has given up more hits than innings pitched this season and has a WHIP around 1.40 on the season. That ain't elite...

I don't know if I'd call it steal.  A one-run game is totally winnable against our bullpen in spite of their (perhaps illusory) success this year.

I said steal because going into the inning, they'd only had three hits and a walk. The Twins had 8 hits and a couple walks, plus the only homer of the game until the eighth. A little reminiscent of the last game against the Sox, where the Twins scored seven runs on six hits.

Eh, that stinks, but they looked way better against Hader than they did last year. Those ABs last season vs Hader were the lamest ABs I've ever seen from major league hitters.

If we face Hader again, I'd PH for Sano. He wasn't close to touching any of those pitches. He's got no hope with that uppercut swing. I'm impressed the rest of the squad made that much contact against him, however.

Sky isn't falling but first game since early May against a winning team is a loss.

Yeah that is a bummer. The knock on the team is that they’ve only played .500 against winning teams (although Boston was under .500 against the better teams last year).

Well, the first three batters of the 9th had good, professional at bats. The kind of at bats one would hope to see from key players in the bottom of the 9th inning.

The last two, not so much. Hader threw 6 balls to the preceding two batters. Rosario and Sano swung at every pitch they saw.

Nice.
