I have family that grew up in Norfolk. And 3 of my best friends...we are all in Omaha now...grew up in the town's around there. They are from Tilden and Meadow Grove.

Thrillden, as I call it

Really sad I'm not in Anaheim right now. I went there last year (not to see the Twins) and it's a neat, though surprisingly rudimentary, stadium.

On the bright side, I'm probably going to see the Twins in Detroit in a few weeks and I've already seen them in Philly and Baltimore this year!

First person to ever describe a trip to Detroit as the “bright side”

Detroit and Philly are still on my list of major league cities to see a game in.

Good game. Wish I could stay for it, but I am in the Utah desert getting ready to leave early in the morning for higher ground in Nevada. Moving from a favorable time zone to an even more favorable one - looking forward to watching some good Twins games in the coming week.

Wait, has the flooding in the Midwest reached Utah? Lol

(True Story)

My wife and youngest son went to the Panda Buffet last night for supper. I'm next to my son dishing up some food and a well dressed guy appears on my right.

The guy was former North Dakota Governor Ed Schafer. I did a double take and the Governor notices me looking at him and says "Hello".

I respond with "Hello... You know... I never took you for an all-you-can-eat guy". He laughed and says I've been here before and the food is good".

My son was next to me and I turn to my Son and say "This is former Governor of North Dakota Ed Schafer... You may not remember him because he was the Governor when you were born".

The Governor looks at me and says "Ed Actually" and then he shakes my son's hand and says "Nice to meet you".

I was confused because I was sure that I said "Ed". I get back to the table and my son said "Dad you said Ed" and I was relieved because I usually have horrible names that I use for any politician.

I've done both, but not to the current stadia.

I have that issue for New York, St Louis, and soon, Texas. But I'm going to try to get to every city before I worry about revisiting those with new stadia.

He was prolly trying to be humble and let you know he didn't need the nine word title anymore. Just "Ed."

I’ve been to 4, does that count for anything

Talking about night games in Anaheim, also Oakland. Cooler, dryer air at or near sea level is more dense than warm humid air at higher altitudes. That's the main reason that Atlanta stadia have always been launching pads.

I had to look up the definition of "rudimentary". I didn't know that's what they called schools in France.
