The Twins move on to Toronto, hopefully putting behind them what was a miserable experience, all the way around, in the Bronx.

Fortunately, the weather in Toronto should be excellent, with deer prancing about the meadows of Canada.

And, Canadians should have discarded their traditional snow suits for something a bit classier:

Now, deep thoughts, courtesy, RB:

1. Suppose a wall in right field that is 316 feet from home plate.

2. A ball clears the wall by 6 inches.

3. Another ball clears the wall by 200 feet.

4. Does the ball that clears the wall by 6 inches count less than the ball that clears the wall by 200 feet?

Pitching for the Twins:

Martin Perez

Pitching for the Blue Jays:

Marcus Stroman

5. Play Ball!

Thank you and please remember to return your seats to the upright position before landing.

Hmm... good one... I always wondered if they factored some of this into total distance (i.e. how far would that ball have traveled if it hadn't landed in the upper deck.

We could debate the merits of building a wall to keep baseballs from immigrating to the stands? I'm thinking we need to bring back baseball without the fences.

They prescribed all the other dimensions of the park I can't help but think it would have been better if they had standardized  fences as well.     410 in center and the gaps tapering to 360 down the line sounds about right.

I've had this thought before.....

When looking at gameday, where it says "end 3", I nearly always think, "what does MLB have against 3"*

*where 3 is the inning, just in case someone was wondering......**

**again with the explaining jokes. sigh.
