Sounds like maybe you weren't watching the game? Gibby did not pitch well. I don't think any of us who watched him feel sorry for him. He was lucky to get through 4.2 innings and put the Twins in a pretty bad position more than once tonight.

That said, a win will make everything OK.

Absolutely missed about half the game tonight. And I'm not saying he was great by any stretch. And wouldn't have qualified for a quality start even if he finished the 5th. But he battled. He struck out 6 and kept his team in the game and left with a lead. So, while struggling some, still getting his legs under him, yep, I feel bad he couldn't have gotten that one more out.

Not himself yet, all things considered, he's done his job his first two starts. The best is yet to come.

I know it's still early, but I am alone feeling "giddy" for how good and different Buxton has looked this season?

From Lavelle E. Neal: "It took 78 plate appearance for Byron Buxton to hit four doubles last season. He has five doubles in 25 PA's this season."

Yes, but that's why we love you.

Sorry, couldn't help it. I'm not going all in on Buxxy yet, but I'm happy to see him start the season just not looking overmatched like last year, and if he can build on that... awesome.

LOL. It's OK LaBombo, love you and the rest of the TD family as well. Even when we disagree at times. (Yes, I'm "corny", lol).

I understand not buying in yet. Easy not to considering. But to me, I see a different kind of approach and confidence that has me very optimistic!

Yep. That 2nd double wasn't exactly a frozen rope...but it just goes to show you that making contact is key for Bux. He's not striking out and seems to simply be making decent contact. With his speed good things happen. I am feeling pretty good about Bux - dare I say, optimistic for the first time in a long time about him!

Despite all the talent and potential in the world, always said, if he could just "start out" hitting .250 with decent contact he could be an impact player with his defense, speed and natural power.

You could go Cron-Gonzalez-Polanco-Astudillo around the infield for a game or two, with Schoop not really doing much yet. Just my opinion..

And as I type, I think we’ve seen our last game with Astudillo at first.

Inshallah.

Buck, not yet, but he's showing more improvement at the plate than just "baby steps."

The guy we need to go all in on is Polanco. Man oh man, he appears to quickly be jumping towards the pinnacle of baseball elite hitters. The Twins have even adjusted his throw to sidearm for his inevitable shift over to 2B. His production should be even better when he finally shifts over (perhaps next year for Lewis at SS?).
