Article: CLE 2, MIN 1: Odorizzi Strikes Out 11, Wild Parker Surrenders Go-Ahead Run

Recommended Posts

My biggest take-away was Buxton's double.  No it was not well it and it should not have been a double, but this is what can happen when  you make contact with the ball.  A strikeout is just an out - a dull spot in the lineup - but when parts move many things can happen.  Keep making contact Byron!

TIME FOR SOME EDUCATION:
Extra batting practice for all Twin's Batters.
Extra bullpen sessions on control for Parker.
Extra bullpen sessions for Garver on blocking pitches.
Extra course for Baldelli on the use of the sacrifice.
Extra course for Baldelli on the use of the stolen base.
Extra course for Baldelli on when to yank a pitcher.
Extra course for Baldelli on the use of pinch hitters off of the bench.
Extra course for Baldelli on playing small ball for a single run.
Extra course for Derek Shelton on speaking up when the Manager is WRONG.
Extra course on Instructions to hitters for Rowson and Hernandez.
Extra course on the selection and use of relievers for BOTH Baldelli and Bullpen Coach

Robot managers!

This looks bad?

Well, yes. It does.

Pitch number 4 had about a 50% chance of being called ball four in that game...and it was, for all practical purposes, unhittable. At the time, it was hugely lucky that Rosario didn’t get a piece of it and roll into a double-play. Again, with a 3-0 count, runners on first and second, nobody out in a 1-1 game in the bottom of the seventh...it was a horrible decision to swing at that pitch.

This thread is so typical when it comes to Minnesota fan reaponse to a loss. It is only game 2 and people are acting like the Twins are already doomed.

We played Cleveland hard and hopefully take the series today. I thought the O man looked decent but was a little erratic. Buxton looks like he is seeing the ball and is no longer chasing as much, and aside from Parker the bullpen looks strong.

Not one post here says they are doomed.
