Liriano struggled today in big game for the Sox

He pitched under 4 innings, gave up 7 hits and allowed 4 runs. Do you run him back out there if it matters on Sunday? What kind of contract does he get in the offseason?

---As of right now his next start would be on Saturday with David Price taking the mound for the Rays. And Detroit could well have pulled head by then. Not shaping up well for the Whiteys.

As for next year, Nick's prediction of 1-year with an NL team sounds reasonable, but it would not shock me at all if someone is dumb enough to give him 2.

What I've heard/read from Cooper is that he was working with Liriano to a. stand taller, and b. not pause at his balance point. Wow, brilliant insight there Coop. Clearly Liriano is just not getting it.

Bert made a sarcastic comment during the broadcast today about Cooper "seeing something" with Liriano that Andy didn't see in seven years...then he tried to backpedal and wish only the best for Frankie.

Francisco Liriano was pulled after allowing four runs in 3 2/3 innings Tuesday against the Indians.

Had Gordon Beckham made a better feed on a double-play ball, Liriano would have began the fifth inning having allowed just one run. However, Beckham's poor throw prevented the White Sox from escaping the fourth inning, and Liriano couldn't recover afterwards. Liriano took the loss, leaving him 3-2 with a 5.40 ERA in 56 2/3 innings for the White Sox. Sep 25 - 4:52 PM

Francisco Liriano allowed two runs over seven innings in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Twins.

Liriano gave up just one hit on the day, a two-run homer by Trevor Plouffe with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning. The southpaw struck out nine, walked two and hit a batter in the win. Not bad for a guy who was originally expected to be skipped in the rotation. He has presumably bought himself another start in the rotation next week. Sep 15 - 4:01 PM
