No dollar dog days this season?

They finally ran out of the leftovers from the Metrodome...just busting chops I thought it was kind of funny.

Should have let my high school buddies work more concession stand dates. Wouldn't have had as many leftovers :)

We worked one game and a guy walked out with 9. Ate them all. We became familiar with local gas stations on the way home.

I could really go for a Dome Dog right about now...

Odd coincidence. When the Teflon roof of the Metrodome was sealed up, large quantities of pigeons were trapped inside. The Metropolitan Sports Commission hired a company to "deal with the issue." Shortly thereafter, Dome Dogs first appeared.

It's a shame if they get rid of that promotion. Even if they made it $2 dogs, it's still fun and I'd still order an excessive amount just because it's fun.

Ordering eight hot dogs at a time just because it costs you less than $10 is pretty funny. That wouldn't really change if it cost less than $20.

That’s disappointing. We only went to Wednesday games because that’s the only day we could afford to eat at the stadium. But if they killed dollar dog night then I guess we won’t be able to go to any games this year.

Last season they put a cheaper concession stand in right field. You have to use the self serve kiosk when you order and pay with credit/debit card. The prices are about 50% off so you can get by with something like a hot dog & chips for about $5/person. Then, in left field, Budweiser has a booth where you can pledge not to drink and drive and they will give you a coupon for a free soda. Also, you can still bring your own food into Target Field. Just some thoughts to make it more affordable for you, it's what I do.

According to this article, hot dog prices at these kiosks is $4, only $1 cheaper than the normal stands. And I don't think that comes with chips (I think chips are only included with the "The Big Dog" at regular concession stands for $7).

But I endorse the designated driver free soda coupons -- you can get them in left field lower deck behind section 130, or on the third base side upper deck behind sections 222/322.

I'd like to see someone send their 10 yr old there and tell the person they promise not to drink and drive and see if they give him/her a coupon.

And what's with this soda talk? It's pop!

I think you have to be 21+ for the free pop from Budweiser. They used to check IDs, yet seemed to stop last season. One other cheap food option I forgot is the family section. Tickets in the family section has a free soda and hot dog built into the cost of the ticket so it's a great deal.

I still stand tall on the value of the family confession stand. You could get a hot dog, soda, and peanuts/popcorn there for $9 in 2019 (nearly 50% odf) since the same treats were $17.50 at the standard concession stand. Here are the 2019 prices from the link spycake provided: Hot dogs -- Family value: $4 | Regular: $5

• Peanuts/popcorn -- Family value: $3 | Regular: $6

• Soft pretzels -- Family value (two soft pretzel sticks): $4 | Regular (pretzel with cheese): $7

• Nachos -- Family value: $4 | Regular (slightly larger size): $7

• Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Sierra Mist -- Family value (16 oz.): $2 | Regular (24 oz.): $6.50

• Budweiser, Bud Light -- Family value (12 oz.): $5 | Regular (20 oz.): $9

I could reminisce about Student night/dollar dog nights... the good ol days when the bus, tickets, dogs and one beer each for two people was less than $20.
