Arizona isn't very good, but Alexander had a number of nice plays today I thought.

Tough to judge. They were in cover 2 a lot, and an aging Fitzgerald is a top offensive weapon. Maybe they'll get griffen back to help. The way the line is playing now, getting griffen back would make them scary.

Is Terrance Newman dusting off his jersey yet?

That would be a great story anyway, but while Alexander will probably get more work, I bet a lot more snaps will end up going to Iloka and Jayron Kearse. They seemed to be on the field a lot more than normal after Hughes went down. A mid-game injury is probably hard to start swap out a CB's snaps for a safety but if they have all week to prep I bet they'll get creative.

Evidently Newman is ineligible to put on the pads again now that he's under contract as a coach. If he was a "volunteer" coach he could have attempted to make a comeback as a player. Alas, the door is shut on that option.

Arizona spent this week trying a bunch of new personnel.

I think we pretty thoroughly dominated them, even if the scoreboard didn't show it at times.

Looks like Arizona just fired their OC Mike McCoy, who couldn't be more unimaginative with the game plan. It didn't come to mind calling plays for David Johnson to run outside the tackles and see if he could break a big run...

Or a few non-dump passing routes.  He was part of it, but they are also worried about Nkimdeche and a few others.  We won 27-17, but defensively we had guys like Wilson and Harris in on a regular basis as early as the second quarter.  The Vikings didn't take them very seriously.

That doesn't make it any less concerning to me. You'd think after the Buffalo debacle, they'd actually take their opponents seriously.

I think great teams keep their foot on the accelerator and blow out awful teams.

They'll lose another game that they shouldn't if this is truly their attitude.

They won 27-17.  And 7 of those points were a flukey fumble bounce and another 7 were garbage time.

I have no problem with the team resting regulars up 27-10 at home against a bad team.

It was a 3 point game 5 minutes into the third quarter.

And which regulars did they rest?

Harris played because Sendejo and Hughes were hurt.

Look, a win is a win. There are no bad wins in the NFL. But I'm not impressed by a 10 point win at home to a shockingly awful team (The Broncos are mediocre at best).

And if your theory is that they didn't take them seriously, then I am REALLY concerned, as that has been Zimmer's Achilles heel as far as I'm concerned. That and his clock management.

Agree with Levi. Vikings dominated them in every way. At no point was the game close, even if the score was. Latavius ran for over 100, and they just let him continue to pound the defense. Vikings were in cruise control most of the game. I wouldn't magnify a single margin of victory.

Well Levi is the one saying that the Vikings didn't take them serious. And that is what concerns me, not so much the margin.

Also, it's not just "a single margin of victory".

They've played 3 teams that are in the awful to below average range (SF, BUF, ARI). And, all 3 at home. They haven't blown out any of those 3 teams. In fact, one of them blew out the Vikings. I'd like to see them dominate the score board against these types of teams, more frequently than they have, especially at home.

You know, every week that Bills game seems even more bizarre.

i really think they were shook by Everson, and were also over confident. Plus, they aren't playing great football, but since they are better than most teams, they will usually win even when not playing great, but not always. If that makes sense.
