I did this once about 2-3 years ago, but it was during the offseason and well, it's been a long time ago... Let's get to know each other a little bit... Who are the Twins Daily readers and contributors. Obviously don't tell any more than you want to... here are some questions to consider answering, with my answers:

1.) Where are you from? I'm from Perham, MN, home of the Yellowjackets. Currently live in Warroad, MN, Hockeytown USA... Been here for 21 years, and don't feel like you need to get any more specific than you'd like.

2.) Age Range? (I'm in my 40s, lower half, easily.)

3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? (I was at SethSpeaks.net, and me and the rest of the TD guys consolidated to create this fun-filled place)

4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? (two years at college, Concordia in Moorhead)

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? (I mean, Kirby Puckett, of course... Underrated... Matt Lawton... and current, well, probably most enjoy watching Eddie Rosario though having had the opportunity to meet so many of the players, there are a lot of very good people in the organization.)

6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors?

7.) Favorite Twitter follows?

8.) Other interests outside of baseball.

9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily... forums, blogs, articles, topics... wahtever you like.

10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season?

11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?"

Going to just prose this instead of listing it.

I was born and initially raised in South Dakota and grew up a Twins and Vikings fan because my dad was. I have lived in Nebraska most of my 52 years however and call Omaha my home for 30 years now. My father reads Twins Daily religiously, though he isn't the posting type. You will never meet a finer man, and he helped me learn and appreciate the game though I never played it. (I did play some football though). He is as big of a Twins fan as you would ever meet, and has made a few trips to Orlando and Ft Myers for spring training. We have talked of doing so together one of these days. People have often been known to roll their eyes and exit the room when we get on a roll discussing the Twins, Vikings or our beloved Huskers. (GO BIG RED!)

Seth Speaks was one of a few important and frequently visited sites that eventually brought both of us here.

I love good food, wine and beer. I don't get to indulge in the first near as much as I'd like, dabble in the second, and drink too much of the cheap versions, rather than good, of the third, to maintain my girlish figure, lol. My interests are many and varied, beyond my favorite sports teams, but not extreme. (No skydiving or mountain climbing). I am a writer of some ability, mostly poetry, and used to be involved in the poetry scene here in Omaha when it was buzzing. I have been in a dry spell for some time me due to life and am hoping to re-kindle this aspect of my life.

I have some great kids, mostly all grown, who, alas, don't have my passion for sports. I live with 6 dogs and a grand-dog. And the reason I have 6 dogs and a grand-dog is I can't have more, lol. But seriously, I used to be very involved with rescue and now help out and advocate where I can as I can't foster any longer.

The best part about Twins Daily? I mean, other than being the best place to learn about, talk about and follow the Twins? It's just a great community of people with passion and opinions. The intelligent conversation is absolutely the finest I have witnessed anywhere. Well...there is Brian...I jest, I jest! Lol. And there are times, especially in the game threads, where I laugh harder than any other time in my day. (Big shout out to Brian in particular!)

Not sure I can really list a favorite player as there have been so many! But Gaetti, Puckett and Hrbek are right up there. Was a big fan of Cuddyer! Absolutely love watching a healthy Buxton as well as Escobar and Rosario today.

Neat idea Seth. But why do I feel like I just set up a dating profile? LOL

2.) Age Range? Bronze Age.

3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? I believe the comments section at the Star Tribune, when they were still readable, brought me here. But, at best, that's a guess.

4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? Never played.

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? I always got a kick out of Kent Hrbek. Under appreciated? I think Tim Laudner. Favorite current player is Kyle Gibson.

8.) Other interests outside of baseball. Cooking, Home repair, shooting sports. (I shoot High Power matches(rifle), IDPA and Steel Challenge(pistol))

9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily... Game threads by a wide margin.

10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season? I cannot really think of anything. Conversations may get heated, but, they tend to remain respectful, for the most part. And, the mods all do a great job.

11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events?" No, but, that's due to lack of proximity. Maybe TD could do a "Winter Caravan" to those of us who are no in MN. :)

Edit: Thanks, Carol! You reminded me that cooking is another thing I enjoy.

No.

My last HS PA ended in a HBP. The guy threw hard, but had no idea where it was going. His first warm up pitch went to the backstop. 2-0 count, he dropped down side arm and tried to spin one. It didn't spin and it hit me directly on the hip bone. I figure that since he couldn't hit the strike zone, he hit me instead.

I barely made it to 1B I was in so much pain. Trying to walk it off only made it worse, but there was no way I was coming out of the game. I still remember the pain as if it just happened. Walked with a limp for a few days. I imagine that it bruised the bone.  My God that hurt.

Actually, I tried to play little league as a kid. Pitcher hit me in the side of the face just below the ear flap. Same game, I was sitting behind the backstop, pop foul ball bounced off the top of my head.

Even at a young age, I was able to figure out I probably wasn't destined to ever play baseball.

We could have fit in well in the three true outcomes baseball era... Well, if they replaced HR with HBP.

1.) Where are you from? Farm belt. Went to school on both coasts, worked 20 years in Minnesota (where I acquired my rooting interest in the Twins), 20 more years in Nevada, now in the Boston area. I don't know where I'm from anymore.

2.) Age Range? Varies from year to year.

3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? Don't remember, it was within about the first year of its existence. Probably one of my sons pointed it out.

4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? One unsuccessful year at little league. My teammates used to call me four-eyes, the next year I got glasses and people call me eight-eyes now. Enjoyed playing bad slow-pitch for a team at work for several years.

5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? I liked Kent Hrbek. If Brad Radke is underappreciated, he's my pick. Berrios is probably my favorite now.

Great call on Tovar. He's the first that came to mind for me as well, and strangely enough Blyleven. HOF voters as well as others  were so caught up in the longevity of his career that many ignored just how great he was in his first tenure with Minnesota.

I find it interesting that Twins Daily has over 12K on Twitter and none of them seem to be the more active commenters in the forums. So now I'm curious, does anyone on this thread (or seeing this thread) participate in either of Twins Daily's social media channels?

If you are not, you can find them here...
